Years later, when Dick made his first suit as Nightwing, Bruce broke out the blue and grey batsuit that he hadn’t worn in years.

Tim starts a Tumblr account and posts ‘incorrect quotes’ for all the bats, only they’re not incorrect they’re all actual conversations/sentences they’ve had, and he gains a huge following super quick because every line is pure gold. Barbara is the first to find out and agrees to help keep the secret, then it’s Stephanie who either gains access to the account or starts writing fanfic abt the batfam that includes all these details that line up a bit too perfectly with the truth because it’s hilarious, then Duke who thinks it’s genius and either still makes them buy his silence or starts drafting posts for Tim that he said with/to civilians and/or alone on patrol. Then Dick finds out because one of the Titans shows him this funny blog they found and he recognises almost every post, so he starts looking into it just as Tim starts posting Young Justice and Teen Titans ‘incorrect’ quotes too, and they have to blackmail him into silence.

When Bruce finds out he demands Tim delete the account, and instead Tim posts the entire conversation.

You guys met early in your transition.

You were hesitant to go out with him because you didn't know how he'd react.

Baby, he already knew before he decided to pursue you.

Bruce would constantly reassure you that he was dating you man to man.

Before he ever touched you somewhere or called you a term of endearment, he'd ask if it was okay.

He made sure to always respect your boundaries and give you what you needed.

When it was time to meet Alfred, you were scared of what he would think.

He was older and Bruce's father figure, so you imagined a lot of bad outcomes.

Over the years, your relationship progressed, and you also progressed in your transition.

You made the decision to start testosterone and get top surgery.

As your voice got deeper, he'd be sure to praise the beautiful sound.

His favorite thing would be making you moan low in his ear.

He loved how sensitive you got as a result of testosterone and bottom growth.

Needless to say, he kept you in the bedroom whenever he could.

Other than railing you into the mattress, though 🤚🏼

He also likes to help you in other ways.

You two would often train together down in the cave.

It's an outlet to deal with the effects of testosterone and also helps you bulk up.

Bruce mainly likes the view of his sweaty boyfriend in a tank top and shorts.

Another favorite activity of his is going shopping with you for events.

He insists you both can't wear the same suit twice, but really, he just likes to watch you try them on and get fitted.

God forbid you wear a button up with the sleeves rolled to your elbow because you WILL get mauled by that 6'2 behemoth. 🙏🏼

Speaking of galas, though, Bruce is always acting like your glorified guard dog at said events.

They're mostly populated with old rich people, so you're bound to get a snarky comment from time to time.

Either about you being trans or you and Bruce being a gay couple.

It doesn't really bother you anymore because you're very self-confident.

Bruce is next to you vibrating at a frequency that could shatter glass, though.

He makes sure they're near tears by the time he's done chewing them out.

Then, they're permanently blacklisted from every upper echelon event in Gotham.

It only gets worse when the kids start coming along.

Soon, your lone guard dog turns into an entire pack.

The kids didn't need much explaining on the matter.

Except maybe Cass and Damian.

After they got the basics down, though, they were fully supportive.

You're their dad. You've given them unconditional love and support.

Obviously, they'll do the same.

It makes you very emotional to look at the family you've created.

In your early twenties you felt so alone and aimless.

Unsure if you would ever even live the life you wanted.

But now you have a loving husband and amazing children.

All while being the man you were always meant to be.

Netflix – the Death of DC?

Short answer: no. But… with a few nuances.

You’ve probably already heard the loud and terrifying news that Netflix is buying Warner Bros.

Personally, I mostly see negative reactions to it. People are like: “Well, that’s it. Netflix is buying WB. Say goodbye to good projects.”

But why exactly do you think Netflix is going to destroy every WB franchise?

Right now I want to talk specifically about the Batman franchise. I can allow myself that, ll.

Let’s look at all sides of what it means if Netflix becomes the rights holder for Batman. And honestly? If you dig a little deeper, it’s not as terrifying as it seems.

P.S. I’m not a Netflix fan, by the way. I’m just a regular viewer who wants to discuss the whole thing.

Cons:

– Mediocre projects.

– Questionable-quality projects.

– A bunch of same-ish, copy-paste projects created purely for profit.

Scared already? And just so you know – there’s no safe word here. Our BDSM party cannot end, haha.

Pros:

– Possible adaptation of horror comics.

– A new era of Batman in both films and series.

– Zero fear of trying something new.

Warner Bros is a great company. We all love WB projects – that’s just a fact. But as far as I know, WB doesn’t have its own major streaming service. Meaning they’ve been relying mostly on box office revenue. But let’s be honest with ourselves: when was the last time you went to the cinema? I bet it’s been a while.

We’re in the era of online services now – online shopping, online movies, etc. And that’s normal. The world is changing.

The only thing that personally feels a bit questionable to me is why Netflix decided to buy WB in the first place. They’ve been having issues with subscriptions lately – tons of people canceling. But that’s just my personal opinion. As they say: “state your opinion and run,” haha.

Anyway, back to the main question. And now the most interesting part.

From what I know about Netflix as a company, they have never been afraid of experiments. And what does that mean? Exactly. There’s a chance they’ll start adapting the stuff WB was afraid to touch. Horror Batman projects, hello there.

Like, seriously. We now actually have a chance to see adaptations of comics like: «The Batman Who Laughs», «Death of the Family» (2012), «Endgame», and maybe even «Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth». And don’t you dare say you don’t want to see that. I’m sure you’re already drooling, haha.

This doesn’t change the fact that we’ll also get some questionable projects – but it also doesn’t change the fact that we might get absolutely amazing ones. And DC… DC has existed for almost 100 years. It’s had plenty of highs and lows. So the change of rights holder won’t really destroy the franchise.

So what’s my verdict?

It’s neither good nor bad. It’s just… normal.

Let’s all collectively start praying for Netflix to adapt Batman’s horror comics.

I think DC lost the plot in regards to Harley Quinn.

And I think they lost it when they decided to theme her character’s personality after Deadpool’s instead of Arleen Sorkin’s.

After years of DC trying, and failing, to give the Joker a memorable side kick, Harley Quinn was their break through. Why? Because even though her first ever appearance in BTAS’ “The Joker’s Favor” was short, it was enjoyable and memorable. From her design to her personality, she was such a hit with fans that they not only made her a main staple of BTAS, but introduced her into the comics and (eventually) into movies. But everything that gave her character her signature charm, was because of who she was inspired (and voiced) by; Arleen Sorkin. Her design was based on a jester costume Arleen wore one episode in Days of Our Lives, and her personality was basically molded by Arleen’s. Harley was full of wit, fun, silliness, but also a master at scheming (sometimes even surpassing the Joker’s cleverness with her own). And thanks to Arleen’s vocal performance, Harley had a memorable accent, and her voice was light and airy— even when she was yelling it never sounded shrill.

But once Harley went more mainstream, and Arleen retired from the role, Quinn slowly started losing all of her original charm.

Harley’s accent became over-exaggerated (sometimes even nonexistent), her voice lost that airy quality and became more raspy and shrill— and because of this, her sound became annoying and unpleasant to listen to (not trying to put her other VA’s down, I think it has more to do with the voice directors than the actual talent).

But even beyond her voice, it became clear to DC fans that, at some point, DC made the decision to make her their own version of Deadpool.

Now, instead of being silly but still very witty and clever, she became a woman-child. Instead of her humor being fun and puny, it became dark, cynical, extremely gross out, dirty, and meta. Instead of being a tragic character because she doesn’t realize how terrible she’s being treated, she’s now hyper aware of everything all the time— even to the point of breaking the fourth wall.

They traded in Harley’s class and charm, for shock value and self-degradation framed as women empowerment. I understand that characters naturally evolve over time, but this feels like more of a character assassination— leaving her completely unrecognizable. If DC wanted to make a Deadpool knock-off they should have just created a new character instead.

I think something that shows how disrespected Harley has become now is Batman’s treatment of her. In BTAS, he constantly compliments her intelligence and capabilities, and that she’s too good to let someone like the Joker dilute her. In the episode “Harley’s Holiday”, we get to see Batman’s respect and empathy for her on full display. Even after her failed attempt to “go good”, Batman comforts her, acknowledging how hard it is to start a new life and that he’s had bad days too. This makes Harley’s sadness and anger melt away, he had shown her respect and care even after all she had put him through. Contrast this with how things are now. Harley is not only reformed (which was always Batman’s greatest hope for her), she’s also basically a member of the Batfam. Only, she is not treated with nearly the same amount of care and respect from Batman— his kindness to her is mostly begrudging, and her presence is treated more as a joke and irritation then as that of an intelligent and charming woman. And Harley’s ok with it 💔

If the man who has wanted nothing more for Harley than for her to reform is treating her with less tact and respect once she actually does— that’s when you’ve lost the plot.

R.I.P Arleen Sorkin, thank you for bringing life to such a lovable and iconic character like Harley ♥️
