[The deck of the Alcor. Beidou leans against the railing of the ship, watching Y/N struggle with carrying a heavy crate. Beidou decides to stop watching and with a chuckle, walks up to him]

Beidou : Give it here, darling. There's a slight chance you'll manage to carry it all the way over there, let alone any of the crew doing it. It seems the crate is specifically for me

[Y/N places down the heavy crate back on the floor and lets out a pant]

M!Reader : Hold on, Beidou! There's no way you can carry something right now, you've had a long day of helping us carry a lot of shipment, you're probably exhausted!

Beidou : Chuckles, that's sweet, love. But–....

[Beidou stops talking, a smirk starts appearing on her as she thought of an idea]

Beidou : Hm, maybe you're right... I probably can't even carry you

M!Reader : Hm? Carry me? Chuckles, with all due respect, Beidou, I'm pretty sure you can. My body weight may not be as much as this crate, but even i would feel like light weight to you

Beidou : Woah, hold on there

Beidou : If you ever say to me that you once outdrink me, I would be thinking you're delusional but well I'll be damn

[Beidou raises an eyebrow]

Beidou : You're swaying

M!Reader : Wha–? I'm stand– standing perfectly still...

[And right on cue, Y/N stumbles, which Beidou catch by grabbing his arm before he fall overboard]

Beidou : Careful there, sailor!

[Y/N stops talking for a moment, staring at her arm next to him, seeing how... Muscular it is, makes his drunk brain make a bold decision. Y/N turns around to Beidou]

M!Reader : …Captain...

Beidou : Hm? Yes?

[Y/N stares very seriously at her]

M!Reader : You're— You're... Very muscular

[...Beidou pauses, but then chuckles]

Beidou : You have keen observation, I'm flattered, buut– that's the liquor talking. Also, I would love it more if the one saying it is sober you–

[Y/N reach out and touch her arm, getting Beidou to jolt a little. Y/N's linger against the solid muscle]

[Y/N lean closer at her, now running his fingers through every part of her arm]

[Beidou immediately coughs, she lets out a laugh and slowly looks down at him]

Beidou : You planning to keep staring at the ship, or are you waiting for an invitation aboard?

[Beidou chuckles, resting her chin in her palm]

Beidou : Oh? Then maybe you were staring at me perhaps?~

[Y/N blushes redder and his tail flick under the water. Beidou grins wider]

Beidou : Careful, handsome, if you keep looking at me like that, I might think you want me to dive in after you

MermanM!Reader blushing : WHA— captain, you wouldn't

[Beidou straightens herself, rolling her shoulders like she is actually considering it]

Beidou : I've fought sea monsters bigger than you, but you? You might be the only thing out here that could actually drag me under~

MermanM!Reader blushing : CAPTAIN!

[Beidou let out a laugh]

Beidou : I'm kidding, I'm kidding! But seriously, i can show you a little tour of the ship if want you know!!

Beidou : This is the cargo sling! But honestly, it would be easier to carry the crates rather than using it, Chuckles...

[With no time to waste, Beidou grabs onto the crate, and carries it on her shoulder with ease. Y/N just chuckles, moves closer, and gives beidou kisses on the cheek, making her blush. This makes Beidou to let out an awkward, flushed out laugh]
