The Fire Lord was a hulking beast, easily towering over the poised Bell Knight. It's frame was packed with muscles and hardened scales. Molten saliva dripped from its smiling maw as bright orange eyes gleamed. The Bell Knight waited, watching each step the beast took, feeling the rumble under their own. The forest blazed behind it, the sweltering head withering away all the plants and trees. The crackle of flames filled the air as two of natures greatest warriors faced off.

I promise to get better at story telling, or maybe even commission someone to write for my pieces. It is FINALLY done. I can't remember when I started this piece, only that is has changed form countless times. I am so happy with how this came out, but there is still a lot to learn. I need to plan out my drawings better and do some research on scales, armor, fire, etc. Thank you for joining me on this journey, I will be posting a poll with the choices for our next piece! This also shows that I really need to hammer down some key elements on Bell Knights such as size, body design, and much more. Look out for those as well!

I had SUCH a blast with this one. The moment I saw those three words I was like: Elegant destruction. I want a giant weaponized fountain pen with living ink. The butterfly aspect gave a sense of deadly beauty. Thank you for such a great opportunity!

A Sorcerer and their Dragon

After 15 hours and 35 minutes it is finished! I have to say that this was such an amazing experience and I have @bubbleturtlez to thank. I decided to take a risk and went full detail on the mecha dragon, as you can probably see. A majority of the time was spent painting those scales and I love how they turned out. I will have a speedpaint of the second part up this week, but please know that I apparently ran out of disk space so the last hour did not get recorded! Whoops!

Bell Knight inspired by traditional Chinese bell. I found a picture of this gorgeous bell and wanted to do a Bell Knight inspired by it. While my markers are limited I really wanted to do this piece with them on some new paper. Another look into their wide range of looks.

So while this was a total failure on what I was trying to go for I still wanted to show you guys! Not every attempt at a concept is a success, but that doesn’t make it something you need to hide away. I was attempting to make a Bell Knight that stepped away from the traditional European Knights look and went into another cultural territory. I chose a viking look for this one and while, yes, totally reads viking it does not read Bell Knight. There are certain elements that make a Bell Knight look like a Bell Knight and this doesn’t have it. I learned a lot while doing this piece and wanted to show you guys as well. I will be doing another attempt at this as well to see if it works out better.
