Hey Jude! Talking about slow burn romances, do you have any advice for writing enemies to lovers? I have a character in mind but he is literally just a very bad person that I worry that readers won't even be willing to try with how morally corrupt they are

Are you sure about that? Jun from SoH has fans even though their like every horrible thing you can think of
People will romance black flag ROs don’t worry about that!
So the way I approach ETL is that I ask myself why would these people be into each other? And could they respect each other as people? Could they like each other as people? Or at least be so obsessed they overlook these things? Attraction is a good place to start if you’re stuck but if you’re going for true love as an end point you have to make sure they don’t only say they love each other because of their bodies/faces.
They need to know things about each other, bond, tell things they might not tell anyone else. Be comfortable with feeling vulnerable and expressing that in front of them. You also need to justify the slow burn. It can’t just be there for no reason. (I mean it can but readers don’t appreciate since it seems to serve no purpose but drama and the relationship ends up feeling shallow).
