have you done barkface and shrewclaw's genetically accurate family tree on here yet? with their parents both being ginger and all. i assume the easiest solution is to make brackenwing a particularly orangey black tabby instead of ginger?

Let me see... I bet i went with tortie-

Yep, i totally went with tortie. Brackenwing ("pale ginger") is a black tortie tabby, Redclaw is proper red.

Their sons, Barkface and Shrewclaw ("dark brown") are both black blotched tabbies. Shrewclaw's mate Ryestalk (i love her name so much) is a blue mackerel tabby, and their kits, Tornear and Mudclaw are respectively blue and black tabbies again.

Barkface, Shrewclaw and Mudclaw all look like this. This counts as "dark" by windclan standards.

i really like the idea that firestar and his descendants have a mutation that makes red fur way more saturated. it's really obvious when you compare a ginger firekin to a random ginger clan cat
