Finished playing RE9 with some friends and am now back on my bullshit. Got me thinking of fic ideas (mostly Chreon) that I absolutely do not have time to write.

Maybe play off of Leon before original RC, like he had a girlfriend in the OG that broke up with him before he was supposed to have his first day. Show Leon in police academy being a normal 21 year old before his life irrevocably changed. And the ex probably heard that RC got like destroyed and assumes Leon is dead because that the last place he was going to and no one really knows what happened but all any hears is that there is like no survivors or very few survivors.

Now hear me out, fic surrounds the whole “Leon is a girl dad” idea because that man collects people/girls younger than him to protect like cards. The ex finds out she’s pregnant like a month or so after breaking up and RC being destroyed. No way of knowing Leon is alive and fully believes he is dead like all the others from RPD/RC. Leon is off in military training considered dead by everyone he knew from before RC, ex girlfriend raises a baby girl with support from friends. Side plot of Chris and Leon getting together along the way. By RE9, Chris and Leon are married and raising Rosemary Winters because Ethan entrusted her safety and life with Chris. Leon’s daughter would have been born 1999 so she’d be like 27, grew up normally far away from anything government related, got blue eyes that look like Leon’s but not nearly as haunted/traumatized, maybe ended up going into medicine or chemistry or whatever and ends up meeting Rebecca at a seminar or something. Rebecca and the girl talk research stuff and work, Rebecca brings the girl on to the BSAA as help to replicate Elpis. Leon still has no idea, Chris is an idiot and meets the girl and says she reminds him of someone. Then it all comes crumbling down when Claire meets the girl Rebecca has been raving about. Claire takes one looks at the girl who has blue eyes and that same grin Leon did as a rookie and starts asking questions, finds out the girl’s mom’s name, learns her dad died before she was born and was a police officer, Claire starts making theories and will absolutely interrogate Leon later. Claire talks to Chris about the girl and Chris is talking about how she’s good and Rebecca likes having her on the research/medic team and that the girl reminds Chris of someone but he can’t figure out who or why. Claire looks at Chris and asks if he needs to get glasses in his old age because how have you not even noticed the similarities.

So basically Chris and Leon raising a young Rosemary and then trying to figure out what to do with a 27 year old who is Leon’s, Leon’s guilt over not knowing, Chris supporting Leon, Rebecca putting two and two together like Claire, Claire having a wine night with Sherry talking about Chris and Leon and how dumb they can be sometimes. Get to show the differences between Pre-Rookie Leon/Rookie Leon and RE9 Leon while also playing with the idea of the people that Leon left behind when he went to RC and never came back to/could never contact due to his line of work after RC. And of course, ultimate girl dad Leon. Maybe add in Emily and Leon’s daughter becoming besties somehow, the girl fully ready to help Grace raise Emily, Claire pouring more wine because “oh god adopting random blonde kids is genetic”.

But hey that’s just an idea since I barely have time to write my other fics much anymore.

In another universe, you grab the rope swing with shaky hands and look out at the lake where all your older cousins are waiting below for you to join them. You are six and terrified. There are no parents around to tell you to get down and you are desperate for approval in every form at your big age. You want to be brave, to be as fearless as your favorite cousin who is all whooping laughter and reckless adventures at age 15.

So you grip the rope as tight as your tiny hands can, take the biggest breath of your life, and jump before you can back down. You learn what flying feels like at six years old with cheers surrounding you when you resurface. You will spend the rest of your life chasing this feeling to no avail.

You will never be braver than you are right now. So get back out of the water, sprint back up that hill and swing that rope across the lake again. You’ll thank yourself later for doing so.

Hear me out: I need a fic about Damian “pulling a Bruce”.

So imagine Damian is out of medical school and in residency, has his own apartment somewhere and only goes to the Manor occasionally because he’s not Robin anymore, and he’s doing rotations at the ER most of the time so he rarely sees his family beyond texts/phone calls or surprise drop ins (Dick usually but sometimes Bruce or the others, Stephanie sometimes just to annoy him). Some trauma patients come in from some accident/incident and there’s a kid there who parents died in the accident. I like to think that all the (legally alive) Batkids are registered foster parents after a certain age because why not?

So, Damian sees this kid grieving and alone (and maybe hurt like in a cast or something from the accident/incident) and CPS is trying to find an available foster home to place them in (because they have no other relatives on file/alive) but foster systems are backed up like always and Damian tells them he’s registered with the state or whatever. Damian takes in the kid and assumes another/better placement will come along until he gets attached (because of course he does, just look at all the animals he has because he got attached) and Damian “pulls a Bruce”. Throw in that the rest of the family has no idea because Damian didn’t tell them at all (bonus points if Jon knows because he stopped by at Damian’s apartment and saw Damian has a kid and just rolled with it because the Bats are just like that).

Anyways, Damian eventually brings the kid to the Manor for family dinner (that is enforced at least once a month). Bruce who is used to all his kids being out of the house forgets to take off some Batman gear or something but doesn’t think much of it because it’s just the kids and their partners coming by for dinner and they all know about Batman obviously. Well what Bruce didn’t expect is a kid (like 8 or 9, like Dick was when Bruce took Dick in to really seal the deal) to be standing next to his youngest son and did not expect the kid to say “My grandpa’s BATMAN?!?” Which gives Bruce whiplash because what the fuck did that kid just say “grandpa”. The whole family starts asking questions and Bruce realizes with dawning horror that although Damian looks the least like him (I like to believe Damian looks most like Talia) despite being Bruce’s only biological kid, Damian inherited the adoption/foster gene from him (in hindsight he should have seen this coming after Batcow when Damian was younger).

Bonus points if the kid looks like Damian (or at least the eyes) and even more bonus points if the kid shares a birthday with someone else in the family like Dick or Tim (like how Jason and Alfred share a birthday).

I’ll probably never write this but feel free to do so yourself and let me know if you do. Also add whatever ships you want to it (just not Batcest please for the love of god).

Okay so I ended up writing that Damian fanfic idea I had and now am seven chapters deep into it if anyone is interested in reading it. Fair warning, none of it is proofread and all of it is written in my notes app of my phone first. Concept is Damian “pulling a Bruce” by taking in an orphan and the ongoing parallels that will only becoming bigger as the story goes on. This is also an eventual Damijon pairing with established TimKon in it as well. Below is the link if interested and feel free to yell at me in my asks about the fic is you want to.
