It breaks my heart how some people don't know how much information they are missing out on in the games.
Did you know Gaz specializes in interrogation, not Ghost or Price, Gaz.
Did you know the first mission of the original first game is cannon to Soap? Did you know that not only did he lock a mp in the trunk of a car. Which we all know, but also that while on patrol when they were attacked and the machine gun malfunctioned. So Soap stripped the weapon and reassembled it before firing 150 single shots, re-cocking the gun for every round. And claimed Any and all of his comrades would have done the same thing?
Did you know All Gillied up is still canon and MacMillan still owes Price a favor presumably? Did you know MacMillan was still cannon? That also means Imran Zakhaev is still alive?
There are so many things people just don't know and it breaks my heart because these are some of my favorite fun facts.

How did price become a farmer?
When John was younger, he was actually farm help at MacMilan farm. Helping the older Scot out with chores and shit.
"Oi, Suzy!" MacMilan gruffed voice called out. John turned to the farmer.
"yes sir?"
"come on, lemme show you how to brand cattle." Then well yeah.
Safe to say MacMilan helped toughen John up over the years.
So when John finally started his own farm an hour away. Safe to say MacMilan was there to make sure shit was going good. Hell, he helped John brand Bull!Johnny.
MacMillan didn't visit too much. Been about a year since he visited The price farm.
What the old Scot wasn't expecting was Pig!reader just staring up at him in her lil dress. Blinking. Tail wagging. Definitely expecting praise because hello, it's her! She's used to praise.
It was just a staring contest before MacMillan looked up and called out
"Son! Is this normal?!"

i always think it's fascinating, that after soap's death in the og trilogy, when price calls mac for help, he says at the end: i'm gonna do what you taught me to do. kill 'em all.
it gives some new perspective into their relationship. i mean, it's logical that mac inspired and shaped price into who he is now, considering john was his lieutenant, but it's so fun to think about mac being the original lunatic out of the two; the one that modelled every bit of insanity onto price.
