How to eat snails?
Snails are a beloved delicacy in our country. There's different ways to cook them, with a sauce or simply with spices and seasoning, but the product is so good that the simpler second option is generally preferred. The most popular recipe is by far cargols a la llauna, where they're seasoned with parsley, garlic, salt and olive oil.
Both land snails (like the ones in this post) and sea snails are eaten the same way: putting a thin, long, wooden stick through the shell's opening and pulling out the snail, then putting it in your mouth leaving out the hard protection at the opening. It's not difficult and definitely worth it!
