ok so this most likely won’t be my last post regarding Chloé
but out of my own curiosity, where did the “the writers/Thomas Astruc ruined her redemption” thing come from?

After watching Queen of the Dreadzone, the fans outcry war continues between Chloe Fans/Stans vs Thomas Astruc and his defenders. Alexa, play Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood
I've noticed something in the MLB fandom which is that a lot of Chloe stans (not all of them) seem to dislike/hate Felix while a lot of Felix stans (not all of them) seem to dislike/hate Chloe which is interesting because Felix and Chloe are really similar and have some things in common.
I've noticed that too. From what I've seen in the fandom , is that you either Stan one or the other or you hate both. From my observations :
People who stan Chloe but dislike Felix seem to mostly be Chloe Stans and some Adrien stans
People who stan Felix but dislike Chloe seem to be mostly Felix stans with some Nathalie/Gabriel/Kagami fans
People who dislike both Characters seem to be mostly Marinette Stans and some Zoe stans as well.
Tbh , I DON'T blame Marinette stans for hating both Felix and Chloe as both have been nasty to Marinette in the past. I also can understand why some Chloe stans resent Felix because they have been told time and time again by the show that Chloe is undeserving of redemption for not repenting for any of her crimes yet in S5 we witnessed Felix pretty much get away with everything he did between Strike Back and Emotion and got to keep his miraculous and join the hero team despite being 10x worse and not apologising once. That will get anyone angry. What does confuse me is some of the Chloe disliking Felix stans that don't admit the double standard. Some Chloe disliking Felix stans do admit the double standards going on but the ones who don't puzzle me? What has Chloe ever done to Felix ? They are quite similar like you said so it's interesting some people dislike Chloe for the same reasons they like Felix for ?
Queen Bee>>>> Ladybug
Wait let me fix that for you.
Queen Bee<<<<Ladybug
You’re welcome.
For real though, why even drop these asks? You think they’re making me rage?
Chloe deservet better
So I was checking the fandoms and had a nice mood(and yes before you gonna ask I did watch the episode). But then I saw again the hate on my Chloe and oh my good I thought that I will explode. Look she was trying her best to help at least. Whenever I came in this fandom all I see is hate on Chloe. When she do something good you all just hating her and complaing about it I know that she is a little annoying but she get and I hope she will had a character development. I'm waiting for this to happend so you will see that she is not that bad. Let's be real I'm getting tired like really tired of how you complaind about Chloe. I hope that the writters will give us some Chloe development because if not be ready for revolutin.
Ps: This note is not to Chloe stans I'm also a part of the stan
is this a safe space to say that I don’t think Chloé was ever getting a redemption, and that the fans collectively agreed she would, and got mad that it didn’t happen
like her behavior is easily identifiable; her bullying stems from her wanting Audrey to notice and love her, and the good she did do came from admiration of Ladybug
she looked up to Ladybug, so its understandable that she would want to appear as good in her eyes
it even could’ve been chalked up to that she hated Hawk Moth more than she did everyone else
but she never really changed as a person outside of her hero work; she had her moments where her “bully-ness” seeped into her hero work, and moments where her hero-side seeped into her personal life
her losing her miraculous stemmed from her revealing her identity publicly, which was an attempt to gain admiration from the people she didn’t receive it from
I personally feel like Chloé’s rise and fall was well written; one of the few good things in her life was being Queen Bee, but due to circumstances she created, that was taken from her
when Hawk Moth then later approached her with the miraculous, she chose to accept it (like she’s 14, so her doing this is plausible imo; teens aren’t always making the best choices)
considering that Zoé’s transformation for Vesperia was storyboarded during S2, it wasn’t some random decision to take the miraculous away from Chloé; they most likely plotted Chloé’s arc and Zoé’s introduction prior to S2 even releasing
with that all being said, they HEAVILY butchered Chloé’s character in S4 and S5
I can understand where the upset surrounding Chloé comes from, but bottom line is that
1. it’s Astruc’s show. he wrote it intentionally, so Chloé not living up to the fandom’s expectations is the fandom’s problem, not Astruc or any of the other writers
2. there is always a possibility that Chloé does change in the future, but the more people complain about it, the less likely that’ll happen
When bloomprincessofdomino screamed at you and called you a dumbass for not giving Chloe a redemption arc, anon has seen that behavior before. To be specific, evangelicals used to fly into loud, screaming tirades every time people left the community and criticized their Christian abusers and bullies. Evangelicals accused victims of "attempting to destroy Christians". Salters like Chloe fans operate from a "radfem" philosophy that works very similarly to evangelicalism: every time someone criticizes female abusers or female bullies, salters scream that they're "attempting to destroy women". This is because evangelicals and radfems both operate from the premise that "our social groups always deserve positive outcomes, so if others impose a negative outcome on members of our social group, it's because they're mentally pathological somehow". So, this won't make you feel better about bloomprincessofdomino's behavior, but anon hopes it at least explains that behavior.
Yeah this honestly makes sense, because I’ve seen a lot of people attacked because they thought the ‘sad rich white bully’ didn’t deserve redemption even when she was given it and didn’t take it and instead became worse.
As much as I like redemptions, they still have to be well written and the character needs to show they have changed and want to be better, like Zuko and Amity. I never got that from Chloe, even in episodes they show her ‘changing’. She never apologizes to the people she bullied and tormented(especially to Marinette) and the fact she was entitled to the bee miraculous clearly showed that she hasn’t changed and liked the fame and attention.
Thanks for the ask,by the way. It made me feel a little better
Again, their actual flaw is selfishness. If they were delusional, that would be an improvement, because at least delusional people can theoretically be cured. But there’s no curing the “salt” crowd because they’re not sick. They know exactly what they’re doing. They’re just insistent on getting their own way.
When I say delusional I don't mean they have something chemically wrong with their brain.
I mean they have deluded themselves into believing their worldview is right despite evidence.
