Random post but these two really love each other and I am very normal about it

I just powered through 4k for the next update of Hearing Echoes (chaleigh fic). I feel invincible. I might finish it today. Who fucking knows.

I am so normal about Gabriel Ultrakill that I headcannon that he would be a really big fan of Rocco and Baroque art. If he ever drew stuff, he would gravitate towards that style hit post.

My hot take about the Typhlosion thing because I’m tired of seeing the same take over and over again.

So some things people need to keep in mind:

1. All those stories were SCRAPPED ie. non-cannon. It isn’t “lore”

2. Those stories was likely made decades ago by one or a few employees. It’s not like they were created by higher-ups at game freak themselves. They were likely told or came up with the idea to make folklore to put into the games and those freaky stories are just ideas they came up with

3. Even if they were cannon, it’s likely they didn’t actually happen. They read a lot more like tall tales or folk lore, which can get pretty gross or messed up, but again are things that didn’t happen and are just meant to be stories

Anyways, are these still gross and shocking? Absolutely. Is it valid that any Pokémon in these stories be ruined for people? 100%. Do I condone or like any of the things that were written? Absolutely not

I just think people need to put the recent leaked stories into perspective more. That these were made by at most a few random employees decades ago to act as weird inappropriate folklore that was rightfully scrapped and isn’t and never was cannon. I’m tired of people taking this as officially part of Pokémon lore that Gamefreak themselves were in charge of when that likely isn’t further from the truth

My Roman Empire is Sans lying to Papyrus about everyone being dead and Papyrus in denial over what actually happened and hiding the fact he knows from Sans. All so he can still have hope and give everyone else hope.

Random hot take but looking back on it I kinda don’t really like those Possessed! Papyrus au’s. Tbf hindsight it’s 2025, but still I feel like making Flowey take advantage of Papyrus to kill everyone like that making it seem “stupid” to trust him just idk? It’s not that like I feel like Flowey is incapable of hurting Papyrus or taking advantage of him (that is literally cannon lmao), but I feel like those au’s kinda miss the point of the game weirdly??

Because although Papyrus does get taken advantage of, we now know thanks to the cut alarm app dialogue that he still sees Flowey as a friend. His companion ship actually leaves an impact on Flowey. Even if he doesn’t see Papyrus as a friend, he still sees Papyrus somewhat kindly. Why else would he somewhat fondly talk about how it took a long time to get tired of him? Why else would he continue to wear the ribbon Papyrus gave him?

Even though Flowey is a monster, Papyrus does exactly what Frisk/the player does in pacifist, he shows Flowey kindness. The whole point of the game is to show that even terrible people deserve forgiveness and can become better people. That kindness isn’t weakness.

And like Possessed! Papyrus kinda doesn’t show that imo. Because Papyrus’s friendship DID leave an impact on Flowey no matter how small, and those au’s kinda ignore that.

So yeah no hate to anyone who made those au’s or likes them ofc just my take I randomly realized while exhausted.

Will give the au this though, being “possessed” by a flower using its vines to forcefully move your body while you are still 100% conscious and unable to do anything is horrifying and I like that concept a lot.

What about the fact that Eleven’s whole life has been living hell, constantly abused, forced to fight for her life, have to be in hiding from the government. Only for the narrative to be like “Actually here’s this insane retcon that makes it so that your existence actively perpetuates the cycle of abuse, El! It won’t stop till you’re dead El!”

“The fighting will never end and all your loved ones will suffer! The only way to solve this is to kill yourself El!”

It just irks me that like canonically El actually is a burden for her family and the only way to set things right is to have her disappear.

Random thing but I wanna draw one of those “Sans has a night terror” comics because I think the core concept is really sweet and I am a sucker for hurt/comfort.

HOWEVER-

I would tweak it to be more in character. The night terrors premise is based on Sans remembering resets which he can’t and him like crying like a baby which is also just not how he acts lmao

I would wanna make it more in character where his nightmare is about some ambiguous anomaly making him and everyone he loves suffer just for the sake of it and being powerless to stop it.

And instead of crying he is just silently shocked and scared awake and pours himself some coffee which he hasn’t done since his lab days/since Papyrus was little

You know that sort of thing?
