Sonic Riders is a fantastic example of how to do a lighthearted Sonic story while staying true to Sonic’s identity and attitude.
It doesn’t shy away from Sonic’s rebellious teen, extreme sports, youth culture. In the awesome intro, there are several shots with streets lined with graffitti. It treats itself like a light action story with the meat of it being the competition between Sonic and jet and the stakes being the babylonian treasure. That’s it. World’s not at stake, the babylon rogues are just thieves and assholes and Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are mostly just looking to put them in their place. Also Eggman is there but he’s just hosting the tournament. There’s no OBVIOUS plan to take over the world and when his goal is revealed, it turns out the treasure is just a flying carpet.
NOT ONCE does this game pretend Sonic himself and the series aren’t unironically cool.
I love different fantasy fighting classes/jobs and am combining that love with my Haikyuu obsession. Ive done a few in my sketchbook but I want to digitize them!
Hinata is a garish mess of a D&D 5e rogue. He’s part of the Crow’s Adventurer’s Guild.
For a fun trait, he’s decked out in a number of annoying jingle bells... that are only perfectly silent when he wants them to be (a la Jarlaxle from Salvatore’s Forgotten Realms series).
Hinata dashes around the battlefield looking for the perfect opportunity to sneak attack you in the back for extra damage. The second you lose sight, you die. He wields twin short swords, because are you even a rogue if you aren’t dual-wielding!?

Mmm my opinion doesn't mean squat but like... there's nothing wrong with wanting to place a licensing system on keeping venomous snakes. A licensing system where you have to attend x number of classes, you have to have state approved locks on your enclosures, you have to renew it yearly, and you have to update the nearest venom keeping/milking facility on the number of animals you have, gender, size, etc every time you get a new one or one passes away.
As a hobby, we're coming dangerously close to sounding like gun owners who like to pretend that their automatic rifles are "completely innocent tools uwu".
If it can kill someone with one bullet, we should restrict its accessibility. If it can kill someone with one bite, we should restrict its accessibility.
