Core Work Out Of The Day
I'm very proud of myself because today I was able to hold my planks for a minute each! (Granted I only did two and wanted to die within the last 15 seconds of both but I still held them with good posture) PROUD OF ME NONE THE LESS.
Core Strengthening for More Confidence!
Core strength is essential to helping you maintain better posture, build a good metabolism, prevent heart-related diseases, burn fat and boost overall strength and vitality. Without a strong core (your stomach and back muscles), the rest of your body (such as your arms and legs) can suffer as well, limiting your movements and flexibility.
When it comes to building core strength (and becoming more flexible), yoga is one of the most effective ways. Through different yoga postures, stretches and breathing techniques, yoga can be a vital addition to your fitness routine and help your performance in your other work out endeavors.
Yoga Postures for Core Strength
How well you are able to emulate poses like sarvangasana (shoulder stand), virabhadrasana (warrior pose) or dhanurasana (bow pose) almost always depends on the strength of your core. Without core strength, you may be able to do some basic poses but won’t be able to make much headway on the more advanced postures. With yoga, you’ll work on building your strength in your core area which will help develop muscles and tone your body.

Yoga Stretches for a Strong Core
Flexibility in your core is essential to reducing injury and allows you to push your body during additional training exercises. Using basic stretches like the cow and cat poses and the mountain pose are critical to increasing core flexibility. These types of poses involve either getting down on all fours and stretching your back in and out or simply standing and extending your arms upwards.

Breathing Techniques as Part of a Core Work Out
Breathing techniques that help promote movement and flexibility not only help with just your core muscles, but can enhance lung capacity, clear blockages and develop stomach muscles through clenching and unclenching. Breathing exercises go beyond the realm of workout routines and can help reduce anxiety and stress while regaining a sense of control.
