Four books, and a thorough character assassination - from some random diplomat, his daughter and his own wife - later, you're rooting for the Assassin, who's also the verse's biggest woobie, and praying for the downfall of said King

Gavilar is SUCH an arse though - his whole POV is him being smug and smarmy, while expertly missing EVERYTHING. Like damn dude. I could only aspire to such heights of ignorance

I have many hopes and dreams regarding the stormlight adaptation but first and foremost in my heart is let the costuming be colorful for the love of adonalsium. Please, I want it be pretty. Sadeas’s forest green, a beautiful bright Kholin blue, I don’t want dull costuming. Roshar is colorful, let the show it be colorful.

Hate to break it to everyone who's fancasting Shallan and Kaladin in earnest but the actors who will be playing 20 year olds in 10 years are currently in grade school and want to be veterinarians who also fight fires when they grow up

I've realized who I'm imagining when I read about Wit in Stormlight, so I'm announcing my fancast for Wit/Hoid in the Cosmere adaptation:

Usually I’m against tv-shows being so short, but stormlight being 10 episodes long is so thematically fitting it’s perfect

Yes, I am deathly afraid that Mistborn and Stormlight adaptations will be bad. Even if they won't I will feel the "it's not the same" feeling. I am very angry at the decision about the stormlight show season being 10 episodes. It should be more!

But. And this is a very important but. No matter what I am going to see Vin and Elend and Sazed and Jasnah and Shallan and Kaladin and all those characters on screen. We are still going to get at least some of The Moments we think about, when we think of these books on a screen. Like, in an actual, professional adaptation. We will have gifs. We will have edits. We will have soundtracks. And that is worth so so much to me.
