Stunning infrared view of the Helix Nebula (NGC 7293) located 700 light-years away in the constellation of Aquarius. The nebula is a great example of what is likely to happen to our Sun as it evolves into a white dwarf and sheds its outer layers. No need to worry though, we have a solid 4-5 billion years to prepare! (Credit: NASA, JPL-Caltech, Spitzer Space Telescope, Judy Schmidt)
