Another parallel between Echo's "death" and Tech's "death" that leads me to believe Tech is meant to have survived:

Proportionally speaking (based on overall amount of focus/screentime of the characters in their respective shows), Fives gets about as much time to mourn/come to terms with Echo's death as each Bad Batch member gets to mourn/come to terms with Tech's.

Specifically: in TCW, Fives calls out Echo's name, is hesitant to retreat from the platform, and looks back at the platform at the end of the episode in which Echo apparently dies. Comparatively, in the entirety of season 3 of Bad Batch, each Bad Batch member gets... roughly about the same.

(I stand corrected: proportionally speaking, it could be argued that Fives gets more time.)

idk how royal harems in ancient china worked but bear with me... wu suowei is a servant and yueyue is a low ranked concubine, theyve been together for many years and yueyue couldn't turn down the emperor chi cheng when she got the invitation to become a concubine (she could, but thats what she told wsw after all how could she turn down an offer which gets her princess treatment for what could be the rest of her life?) so wu suowei followed her to stay by her side and be her boyfriend in secret until one day chi cheng visits her or maybe she catches sight of him while passing by somewhere and she realises she needs to break up with wu suowei so she can climg ranks and be spoiled even more. so she leaves wu suowei like she did in canon, humiliated and injured so wu suowei and he changes his name and vows to give back the pain and humiliation she gave him. using the expertise of the physician he became aquantenced with after he broke those bricks on his head/ got beaten up (depending on whether this is based on the novel or drama) he climbs the ranks from servant to concubine and soon empress. all his scheming took him many places in many positions and yueyue was exhiled from the royal palace in the end
