“Stay with me.”

Jungkook’s thumb gently presses to your bottom lip, pulling it down and barely exposing your teeth. His touch is featherlight, unexpectedly so. Electricity and hope courses your veins beneath the heat of his hand, it simultaneously feels familiar and brand new all at once. It’s exciting. It’s nerve wracking. You forget how to breathe when dark eyelashes dust the very top of his cheekbones as his eyes flutter shut.

“I can’t...” He exhales with his nose ghosting yours, disappointment filling the little space left between your bodies in the dining room.

“…O-Okay.” You sigh quietly but you don’t move, still nestled between the table and his big, warm, toned body. Forehead’s pressed together, noses grazing each-others, lips so threateningly close that you can almost taste him. “I’m sorry for asking that of you.”

“Please don’t apologise,” He softly shakes his head left to right when his thumb traces your jaw with delicate reassuring patterns, “You have no idea how much I want to, but I can’t… I’m so sorry.”

You swallow, finally daring to look up at your ex-husband whose hooded stare is solely trained to your eyes, his own swimming with emotions you can’t quite describe, “It’s okay. I understand.”

“I don’t think you do…” A puff of air escapes his nostrils, paired with a pained smile, “I can’t spend the night here because I’m still in love with you Y/N.”

You can’t stop yourself from leaning forward, you can’t stop yourself from tangling your manicured fingers deep in his raven locks. You’re lost to memories of the past, the nostalgia, the heat, the passion, the love.

And then you kiss him.

You kiss him with every ounce of emotion rushing through your body, lips softly puckering against his in one of the most memorable moments of your life. His lips mould to yours effortlessly when he kisses you back, like two halves of one whole heart finally being reunited and sewn back together. He lets go of your chin and snakes his hands down your body, feeling every curve and bend you have to offer beneath his palms, remembering the shape of you in his arms.

When your lips opens on his you’re breathing heavily, eyes closed. The music playing on the speaker fades into nothing more than a white buzz when he slips his tongue into your mouth. Muscle memory takes over and your tongue swirls against his the way it used to, only this time there’s a hint of desperation behind your ministrations.

Jungkook deepens the kiss into something more, lifting you onto the dining table with ease before sliding his body in the space created between your legs. It’s been a very long time since you’ve been kissed like this, so passionately, so many unspoken truths hidden behind your actions. His palms grip the tops of your bare thighs, his body is so close to yours that a desire to have more of him begins to flood your senses. You’ve missed feeling like this, you’ve missed him making you feel like this.

When his lips leave yours you almost whine in protest, upset with the loss of contact. But it’s soon replaced with a series of delicate, open-mouthed kisses against your jaw, down to your neck when your head lolls back to grant him more access.

“Jungkook…” You moan ever so quietly, wanting nothing more than to squeeze your legs together to ease the growing wetness between them. One hand tugs the hairs at the back of his head, the other drags itself down the front of his toned torso. Even through the material of his white t shirt you can feel every bump, every muscle, every part of him.

Your ex-husband is enjoying this more than should be legal. This is all he’s wanted, all he’s dreamed of doing since you filed for divorce. The sound of your small moan sends a rush of blood straight to his cock and he has to bite back an obscene needy whimper against your neck. He’s missed you so much, he’s missed this so fucking much. Instinctively his hands slip higher and higher up your legs, until they’re beneath your dress and the very tips of his fingers are grazing the waistband of your underwear.

“Baby… I’ve missed you so fucking much.” He breathes, crushing his face to yours when his lips find their way back to yours. They’ll always find their way back to yours. You taste like peaches and love, he’s going dizzy from being drunk on the way you kiss him back so eagerly, so desperately.

And then it hits him, reality comes tumbling down onto his shoulders hard enough to bruise. You’re his ex-wife, the mother of his child. He loves you, he’s in love with you, he has been from the moment he met you but he can’t do it, not like this. He doesn’t want you to think of this as a drunken ‘bonus night’ with your ex, he wants nothing more than to give your marriage another chance if you’ll let him. And he knows this isn’t the right way to go about it. No matter how much he wants it.

“Wait.” He pulls back, chest heaving with each ragged breath.

You’re panting, in a lust-fuelled daze when you register the panic behind his brown doe-eyes that are blown wide, “Kook...? What’s wrong?”

He’s shaking his head, taking a small step back and snapping his fingers from the skin of your thighs, “I… I need to go.”

“What—”

“I-, I’m sorry Y/N, I’m so fucking sorry. I can’t do this.” He makes quick work of leaving the dining room, slipping his boots on and letting himself out.

And so you’re left sitting alone atop of the dining table with love songs filling the silence in your empty home, delicately pressing fingers to your lips wondering if that actually just happened. It’s not long before you’re crying, messily wiping away your foolish tears.

This isn’t the first time he’s left you all on your own to deal with your emotions, except last time you were the one who asked him to leave. You were the one who broke his heart. You were the one to file for divorce. Just like you were the one to kiss him tonight.

But this time he chose to leave. And this time it’s your heart that’s broken.

Jungkook slips into his Uber and slams the door behind him, so many thoughts whirling round the walls of his brain. Did he just fuck up the chances of working things out with you? You must be so confused right now... And so he sends you a series of text messages from the backseat of the car before logic can stop him.

"Y/n!"

The banging against the door lets a shudder scuttle down your spine.

"I came to apologise. Please open the door!"

You screw your eyes shut, trying to block out the painfully loud bangs.

Every single time you're afraid that he'll break the door. The thought of him getting in your apartment and being alone with him makes your stomach churn in trepidation. His voice alone brings up memories that you're desperately trying to forget.

He's not going to leave. He only ever leaves when Jungkook forces him to.

You peek from under your duvet, grabbing your phone in the darkness of the room. You squint when the screen of your phone blinds you. You search for Jungkook's contact in your phone.

The last text you received from him says, "can't stop by today, nabi has her 6 month check up at the doctor's"

You call Jungkook, and although it's the middle of the night - 02:22 am to be exact - he doesn't keep you waiting for too long.

"Mhmmm?" his groggy voice mutters into the speaker, directly into your ear.

"Y/n!" Minjun shouts from outside.

You flinch, pulling the duvet closer around your body. "Minjun's here," you whisper.

"Oh, for fucks sake," he curses quietly, not sounding as tired as before anymore. "Don't open the door, alright? I'll be there as soon as possible. Don't be scared, baby."

"Okay," you say, closing your eyes in relief.

You drop your phone next to you on the bed. If you're honest, you were a little worried that he would not pick up your call. You haven't seen Jungkook since last week and somehow in that time he has morphed into a bad texter, taking hours to reply to your messages and sometimes not even bothering to call you back. You get it, he works and is busy. But you miss him anyway.

"I'm sorry for what I did! I miss you, y/n!"

"God," you mumble after taking a sharp breath in. You hide beneath the duvet again, attempting to distract you from the noises outside but it's in vain, Minjun's voice cuts off every single thought in your head.

You don't know where his patience to yell in front of your door to get your attention comes from, but he spends another five minutes there. Yelling and knocking on your door like there'd be the slightest possibility of you allowing him in.

But then it's eerily quiet. And you know that Jungkook has just arrived.

You hurriedly get out of the bed, walk to your front door and try to view what's happening in the stairwell through the peephole.

They're both standing opposite each other. You immediately notice Minjun's red eyes. He never shows up sober. Always drunk.

"I just want to talk to her," Minjun says.

"Didn't I make myself clear last time? Huh?"

Your eyes dart to Jungkook when he closes the distance between him and Minjun. Minjun takes a step back, a slight glimmer of fear slicing through his eyes as he stares up at Jungkook.

Jungkook seems angry. He's always angry in these situations but you can see it in his eyes - he didn't come here just to tell Minjun to fuck off and rot in hell.

And because you don't want things to escalate, you slowly open the door, causing both men to turn their heads to you.

"Y/n," Jungkook says, his eyes gentle as they meet your face, but despite this, his voice is unyielding as he demands, "Go back inside."

You shake your head. "Don't do anything," you plead, briefly casting a glance at Minjun.

You've already seen Jungkook beat up Minjun. Though you hate him, you don't want to see Jungkook hurting someone till they bleed again.

"Y/n," Minjun calls.

Jungkook immediately whirls back. Minjun has come a little closer and Jungkook stands right in front of you, his tall and ripped body almost completely hiding your figure.

"Get the fuck away from her."

"Let me talk to her. Just for a second, please," he begs, looking over Jungkook's shoulder and into your eyes. You look away immediately, but you still notice how he comes forward a little and stretches out an arm in your direction.

"Don't you fucking dare touch her!" Jungkook yells, taking a stride toward him.

With one hand he grabs him by the collar, his other forming a fist and is about to strike him, but you pull Jungkook by the elbow, stopping him before he can take a swing.

Jungkook doesn't look at you, but he allows you to drop his fist to his side. He pushes Minjun back by the collar and he stumbles backwards.

"Don't you feel pathetic, Minjun?" Jungkook taunts. "You come here and leave with a black eye every time?" Jungkook slowly approaches him. "Huh? Don't you feel fucking pathetic? Or do you want to get beaten up?"

"I just wanted to apologise to her-"

"Bullshit," Jungkook spits. "Do you know how tired I am of seeing your face? I don't want you bothering my girlfriend ever again, do you fucking understand that?"

You swallow a lump in your throat. That was new.

Minjun has backed away close to the stairs and you're afraid that he will tumble down if Jungkook comes any closer.

"I'm not gonna hurt you now, but if you decide to show up here again? Pray that you'll be able to walk afterwards."

Jungkook raises his pierced brow. "And now fuck off before I decide otherwise."

You don't think you've ever seen Minjun run down the stairs that quickly.

As soon as he is out of the view Jungkook turns to you and grabs your hands. "You're good?" he asks, thumbs rubbing over your skin.

"Yeah, I just don't like seeing him."

Worry creases his forehead and he nods in understanding. "Want to sleep over at my place?"

"Please," you say, intertwining your fingers with his.

You always stay at his place after he scares Minjun off like this. You have trouble sleeping afterwards and sleeping at Jungkook's place and being held in his arms helps you a little with that.

"I'm sorry for calling you in the middle of the night," you apologise as Jungkook enters the living room after checking up on Nabi.

"I want you to call me whenever you need me, no matter what time it is, okay?" He sits down next to you on the couch, pulling you to his side.

"I thought you...might not answer my call," you confess. Biting down your lip, you look up at him from where you're cuddled against his side.

"Why would you think that?" His hand that had caressed your back halts.

"Well," you starts, a bit unsure how to approach it. "I feel like you've been ignoring me a little over the past week."

"I'm working a lot these days, y/n."

The dark circles under his eyes are unmistakable, and only now do you recognise how tired and exhausted he looks. And then you come to the conclusion that you maybe shouldn't have this conversation at nearly 3 o'clock in the morning, so you say, "Let's talk tomorrow. I'm hella tired."

Jungkook yawns and mumbles a "good" before he lying down on the couch, taking you with him as he makes himself comfortable. "Cause I'm tired too."

You take the folded fuzzy blanked that he always has on the armchair of the couch and spread it over the both of you.

Jungkook's couch may not be the biggest but you two would've snuggled up like this in his bed too, so it doesn't really matter.

You try to sleep with his heartbeat drumming in your ear, but you keep opening your eyes every now and then, not being able to fall asleep the slightest.

"Can't sleep?" Jungkook asks into the darkness.

"I don't like being woken up with him screaming and knocking against my door. It scares me." You hate how hard it is to go back to sleep after him waking you up like that.

"Hey." Jungkook shortly squeezes your waist. "You're with me now. And you'll always be safe with me. There's nothing to be scared of right now." He leans down and plants a peck on your temple. "And honestly, I don't think he'll come back after his night."

"I mean, after you called me your girlfriend he looked even more...scared of you."

"He's a fucking looser. My hands are still itching to rip his face off."

You sigh and try to change the topic. "Why aren't you asleep? Thought you were tired too." You draw circles on his black t-shirt, feeling his toned chest just beneath.

"I'm just thinking."

" 'bout what?" You prop your chin on his chest. "About how much you missed me?"

He chuckles and you feel his body moving under yours as he does so.

"Yeah, I'm thinking bout how much I missed you."

"Hey," you sulk. "That sounded close to irony."

Jungkook laughs again and this time you can't help but smile as well. "No, it's true. I missed you a lot."

The gentle smile on your lips falters when Jungkook suddenly embraces your face with his hands and pulls your head closer to his. He leans forward the slightest bit and you forget to breath for a moment.

You feel his soft lips pressing a kiss on your nose and when he rests his head back again he has an innocent, boyish grin curving his mouth upwards.

He has no clue about your heart nearly forgetting how to work. No clue about the little butterflies in your tummy.

But it's fine. As long as you can have him like this for the rest of your life.

He brushes a strand of hair behind your ear. You stare at each other for a couple of seconds.

The moon shines through the window and illuminates the room in a gentle glow. If you didn't know any better, you'd say that the real moon is hiding behind Jungkook's round doe eyes. You can't stop staring. You're too fascinated by the sparkle they radiate.

Jungkook has the whole night sky in his eyes and you'd willingly spend the rest of your life exploring every bit of it.

"Y/n," he says. You don't know why, but you have the feeling that it sounds like a reminder.

"Hm?" you mumble absentmindedly.

"We should probably go to sleep."

"Yeah, probably."

You lay your head against Jungkook's chest again, and this time around you can actually fall asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.

“Are you really my appa?” Hyungsik asks excitedly, walking along with the man who had just collected him from his friend's house.

“I am son,” the man dressed in all black smiles at his son’s excitement.

“Wait! What about eomma?” Hyungsik asks as he tugs on the long black trench coat made of soft material.

“Eomma said we should spend some time together, just us. You ok with that buddy?”

Hyungsik hums and makes that face, the face he always makes when he’s in thought.

“Can we get some chicken? I always love the chicken eomma makes.” The young boy asks curiously.

“We can do whatever you want son.” Taehyung hums.

“Ohh can we go to the toy store then? I’ve only been to one once. I want to see all the toys, I don’t have many but I like to look at them.” Hyungsik exclaims happily.

“Of course, shall we go to the toy store first? That way you can play with your new toys while we wait for our food.” Taehyung suggests, prying Hyungsik’s small fingers off of his coat.

Instead he wraps his larger hands around Hyungsik's smaller ones.

“Wait appa, you don’t have to buy me anything. I’m okay with just going to look.” Hyungsik tries desperately to explain.

Taehyung ignores him.

“Nonsense, we’ll go to the biggest store I know, how does that sound? My son deserves to be spoiled.” Taehyung leans down and kisses his son's cheek.

“Appa.” Hyungsik blushes, happy to be there, with his dad.

“Ahhh!” Hyungsik shrieks but that slowly turns into laughter as Taehyung pulls him up into his arms.

“No son of mine should have to walk in such old uncomfortable shoes. Come we will get you some shoes as well.”

“Thank you appa but please don’t waste your money on me. Eomma says we always have to be responsible with money because we don’t have a lot.” Taehyung listens thoughtfully to his son.

“It’s ok son, I have more money then your mother. What’s the point if I don’t spoil my angel a little bit?”

“Ok, does that mean I get to pick?”

“Yes, my son can pick his own shoes.” Taehyung pinches his son's cheek. Hyungsik looks away, giggling happily. Taehyung gazed at his son, happiness overcomes him, happiness mixed with a fiery anger.

‘How dare she keep him away from me for so long?’

“What do you mean?! He doesn’t have a dad! I don’t even know who his dad is!” Your throat was raw from shouting at the woman standing in front of you.

“Please don’t shout in front of my son on his birthday.” The woman, Mrs Park quips.

“That’s really what’s important to you right now!? My son is missing!” Tears fall down your cheeks, your breathing harsh, your mind fading into a questioning haze.

What if you never found him again?

Who took him?

What are they doing to him?

You needed your baby back.

“Ma’am please calm down, come sit here.” A gentle voice and an accompanying hand leads you to the nearby couch.

“Can you tell me all that you remember from today ma’am? don’t spare a single detail.” The police officer orders, pulling out his notepad.

“Well we had breakfast, got dressed and then came here, we weren’t allowed in as we were told there was going to be too many people but Hyungsik was as he’s one of Jaesung’s best friends, we went to get ice cream at a nearby park and waited until it was time to come collect Hyungsik. That’s when I received a message from Mrs Park telling me she let my son go with some stranger.”

“Maam we’ll do everything we can to find him ok? But you really need to breathe now.” You nod rapidly at the officer's words but you can’t seem to bring yourself to calm down your breathing.

“Mrs Park, what does the man look like?” Another officer at the scene asks,

“Like a model, all I can tell you is he was wearing all black, his hair was black and he had eyes that could make you want to rip your clothes off in a second.” Mrs Park smiles, but it’s bitter and more like a sneer.

You couldn’t control yourself, you scream, a bloodcurdling and pained scream.

“Eomma, will he be ok? Will Hyung be ok?” Douhyun asks, his voice soft trying to remain calm, but everyone in the room could hear the tremble in his voice.

“What the hell are you doing!? Mrs park, you let him go off with some stranger!?” Yerum shouts, red in the face, but the teenager was equally as terrifying as if it were a police officer or a low level mob boss shouting.

“Kid you really need to calm down,” a third police officer approaches and tries to place his hands on Yerum’s shoulders in an attempt to calm his breathing. Yerum’s elbows fly back, landing on the officer's stomach.

The officer trips backwards a groan leaving his lips as his hands clasp where he had been struck.

Yerum didn’t seem to notice as he was still busy shouting at Mrs Park, who had also started shaking slightly, her eyes that were once dry as a bone were now tearing up.

“You better start crying you bitch,” Yerum spits the vilest insults and you can’t seem to do anything other than sit there and listen.

“My brother could be walking towards his death because of you so whatever you remember you better spit it out and do it with some decorum.” Yerum stutters on the last word as if he’s struggling to pronounce it, it slightly undercuts his menacing tone.

Mrs Park nods before glancing around at the room, she sees you have calmed down slightly but your chest was still moving rapidly. Her son Jaesung was sitting solemnly next to Douhyun who was crying buckets, they wanted their best friend back. And Yerum, as Mrs Park comes to make eye contact with Yerum, the officer he had knocked down had gotten back up and was watching the situation closely.

“I’ll start from the beginning.”

Our boys are good boys, I'd like to think they all pull their weight in the middle of the night. That being said, after a long night, waking some of these boys is like waking the dead.

Most:

Yoongi - Surprisingly, Yoongi is ridiculously easy to wake up once the baby is born. You're not actually sure he has slept more than a solid two hours in 6 months. Especially right after the baby is born, he gets up even if you are already up. He goes and grabs you a drink and some toast as you breastfeed/make up the formula.

Hoseok - actively forces you back into bed sometimes. Even if you were already awake he will stumble blearily into the room to make sure you don't want to tag out. Occasionally, he will be so quick to feed the baby that you have to pump out the excess milk because he forgets the schedule you are on when he is half asleep.

Jungkook - Doesn't always hear baby right away, but as soon as he does he physically can't go back to sleep without checking in on his little angel. Often pulls you into his lap, while you're feeding the baby, so he can hold his whole world in his hands.

Seokjin - Likes his beauty sleep and will occasionally kick you out of bed to do it as a joke (a joke you don't find half as funny as he does). Will get up when you groan and pout at him enough.

Tahyung - Genuinely oblivious 60% of the time. sleeps with earplugs in occasionally because you've become a light sleeper and you kept waking him up without meaning too.

Namjoon - Often doesn't hear baby because he has fallen asleep in the studio, baby provided too much inspiration for him to not spend all day and night writing his new album about his tiny miracle. Your baby's giggle is the backing track to at least 3 songs.

Jimin - Man sleeps through anything, but if you need a break, you can just hand him the baby like the boys handed him that spoon in 'in the soop'. He will look at the tiny wriggly thing confused until his dad brain kicks in.

a/n: A completely self indulgent Jungkook fluff drabble written at two at night haha,, I was really going through it. Written for the @bangtanwritingbingo prompt no. 14 - watching sunsets/sunrises, and for @btscreatorscorner June workshop- writing from a member's POV! a massive thank you to @jikookiekosmos for making the banner for me😭 and a massive thank you to @vaekth and @joonscore for bearing with me because I just kept talking on and on about this in your dms lol.

Jungkook leaned back, eyes shutting close as he felt the breeze kiss over every inch of his skin. The warm sunset was only just spreading across the sky, a bright yellow turning to a scarlet - as if the sun was blushing at the idea of leaving the sky, it's lover. 

"It's nice," You sighed, hands resting over his as you looked at the sunset. 

Jungkook looked at you, smiling, and hummed in agreement. "I like this scenario, you know. A sunset, the kids are playing in the sand, and your hand in mine. My day is coming to a good end." 

You turned to face him just as he lifted your joined hands to his mouth to leave a small kiss. You smiled, with your other hand coming up to pull your hair to the side, and Jungkook remembered why he fell in love with you all over again. He looked at you, your eyes sparkling in the deep orange of the sunset, keeping his eyes locked with yours as he pulled you closer. 

Kissing you never got old. 

His lips softly settled on yours, the feeling of them feeling right. Your scent- an unlikely mix of mint, from his perfume, and chocolate, from baking with the kids earlier today- filled his surroundings - and he didn't want anything more. His hand clasped yours, thumb tracing small universes over the back of your hand - universes where it was only you, him and your family. You other hand languidly traced up his arm, curling behind the nape of his neck to pull him closer. He felt you smile, nearly giggle, and it was only seconds before the two of you pulled away and just laughed. It felt good to be here. It felt good to be with you. 

The setting sun cast beautiful spells over the waves that were splashing and playing around in the sea, washing them in shades of burnt red and gentle yellows. The glimmering swell of water that leaped over the sand had your children squealing in delight, running away from the wave. You waved them over, watching as they ran helter skelter to collect their sand toys before running the two of you. 

Jungkook spread his arms out as his daughter ran to her father, not minding the sand that stuck to her body as she leaped on him - squealing in happiness at being reunited with her partner in crime. You reached over to ruffle her hair, eyes crinkling as your son walked over and buried his face in your lap, finally exhausted with the events of the day. 

It was a vacation for you and him - time to spend with family. There were so many highs and so many lows in your daily lives that it was exhausting, even if you loved your work - and you both needed that break, even if it was only for a weekend. Now, as he watched the waves crash into each other and then end in bubbles, he felt that peace he had wanted. 

"Tomorrow, we will go back to the city. Right, dad?" Your daughter sat up and spoke to Jungkook, his hand coming up to caress the hair that flew wildly behind her, settling it behind her ear. "Yes, my bunny. We're going back tomorrow." 

"Good!" She beamed at him, and Jungkook felt his heart swell. She took his palm, and he couldn't help but be amazed at how wonderfully she had grown up - he remembered when he would walk her around with her clinging onto his pinky finger only, and now her hand fit in the palm of his hand, big enough to clutch his hand and swing it while playing games. "I wanted to show you a drawing I had made for you and mommy." 

You turned towards your daughter while petting your son's head, fingertips gently untangling the heap of curls in his hair as he slept soundly. "What drawing, baby?" 

"I made a big girl drawing. Teacher had said it was really good!" Your daughter beamed, missing incisors displayed in a beautiful smile that strangely reminded Jungkook of your own -upper lip quirking in a way that he thought only you could, till his daughter first beamed at him. The thought made him smile.

"Really? I can't wait to see it then, bub. We'll pin it on the fridge too!" You cheered for her, her eyes widening in happiness and surprise at the sudden announcement. She jumped onto both of you, nearly knocking her brother off his mother's lap as she squealed again, screaming to the waves in the distance about how she loved her family. "We will be here forever!" she said, happily clapping.

After a few more moments of excited babbling - including a certain confession she had received from a classmate ("I promised not to tell anyone, but I didn't want to hide it from you! He said he loved me!") Jungkook's shocked exclamation at his baby getting confessions, you laughing, and her defending her 'friend', she was peacefully dosing on Jungkook's lap. His hand went to softly pat her hair, humming a soft lullaby - the same one he had sung to her for years- for all the times she wouldn't sleep at night. 

Eight years, and she still paraded up to him at night to demand the lullaby, and Jungkook would simply cherish that time as he would caress her head, wishing her sweet dreams and tucking the blanket in. "It's to keep the monsters away, " he'd hear her murmur everytime, and he'd smile before returning to his wife and son in the next room, softly patting his son's cheek, kissing his wife good night, and falling asleep. 

Looking at you now - your eyes paying attention to the two year old that had curled up in your lap - he held back the sudden urge to shout in happiness like his daughter had. That's what he felt. Overwhelmed with happiness. He didn't believe that he actually got to live with this euphoria in his life. One look at the three of you made him feel so proud, so responsible, and so loved - he simply couldn't put it all into words. 

Your head came to rest on his shoulder, and Jungkook leaned his head over yours, hands finding each other. You squeezed his hand tightly, and sighed - and he understood you. This silence, this time - it all meant so much for the two of you. 

"Once we go back, we're probably not getting time like this again, are we?" You whispered, letting the words fly away with the breeze. 

"Maybe. Who knows, I'll whisk you away on a getaway next week?" He smiled, and though he couldn't see you, he knew you were smiling, too. 

"Maybe? What about our daughter's annual day, mister? Forgot so soon?" You laughed as you spoke, punching his arm playfully. "I guess my husband is turning old already." 

"Hey!" Jungkook said, trying to fake his anger even if he couldn't take the smile off his face. "I remembered it, of course I remember! I had to learn the ballet routine as well!" You laughed again, the sound familiar and known to him- his heart beating a happy beat. "I twisted round and round, over and over, and nearly ripped my pants."

"Mmmm, and I didn't see you complaining after this baby appreciated you." Jungkook watched you caress your daughter's hair, then her cheek, and settle on the sand. "You went for it all the way." 

"I would always go all the way for her. And for this pumpkin too." He pointed at his son, and you giggled. "And for you too. You're my world, you know that?" 

You raised your head to face him, Jungkook almost complaining at the loss of your body heat right near him. "And you're mine. You, and our kids. You're all my everything." 

Jungkook's eyes softened, pulling you closer for you to rest your head on him again. You leaned against his chest, and Jungkook bent down to kiss the top of your head before leaning back to bade goodbye to the sun. 

"I think sunsets look the prettiest, don't they?" You marvelled at the sky, lush shades of warm orange letting hints of blue peak through as the sky prepared for nightfall. 

I think everything looks prettier when it's with you, Jungkook wanted to say, but he lets the babble of the returning seagulls fill the space. His hands wrap around you, letting his eyes look to the sky once again, awed by everything around him now. This was all he needed. 

"I love you," he murmured, pressing another kiss to his lover as the sun set upon the evening. 

a/n: I'm not really sure if this would be drabble length or fic length, but I'd like to think of it as a drabble.
