this was funny but there is something to be said about doing good things making you feel good, so maybe that's where Danny and Conrad are going

thinking about the legacy of mentopolis.

the pulse family are big and important, they’ve been there since the second elias first opened his eyes. it’s on the gates of their mansion and everything, there are lots and lots of impulses, but there’s only one personification of attention. which Tension gets to be A. Tension. do they have to die for anastasia to be born, or does it change hands once they’re gone? the same with hunch. what makes it that hunch curio gets the title of personification of curiosity and not, like, his cousin whim?

conrad is the only conscience elias has, and he was (according to brennan) supposed to “grow up” and work at the government. what the fuck does that mean? does conrad grow at the same rate as elias while others age quicker? did he grow faster, like everyone else, but just stopped and never continued, like the focuses that the fix likes to visit? when conrad asks the fix how long he’s been fixing, he says the whole time, did he just immediately be full grown? did he have a childhood?

danny fucks is pleasure, donna fucks is pain. was one parent the old pain and they had a sibling who was pleasure? why did their children get the titles over the old pleasure? who makes the calls? is it just something that is decided, that the person feels once it hits them? or was it like their grandparents passed away the moments they were born to give on the legacy?

just the worldbuilding of this season has me in such a goddamn chokehold i can’t stop thinking about it.
