Daxam lore in the comics is so funny to me, because it's besically "what if the British colonized Central/South America, instead of Spain", BUT IN SPACE.
The joke is that, according to Clark, Mon-El's stiff way of speaking sounds British. And Daxam has a lot of Mesoamerican elements before and after Krytonians colonized and intergrated with the people and culture. So... yeah.
While reading the issue of the Sinestro Corps War with Sodam-Yat vs Superboy-Prime and Sodam's backstory in-between the fighting, I find myself wondering if the depiction of Daxamites with black sclera eyes was and artistic/narrative choice OR if Daxamites just have the ability to do that with their eyes whenever they get stressed out. Sodam's eyes are like this 24/7 for the entire story.
and this isn't the result of superpowers, because all the Daxamites are living under a red sun, making them all physically average.
Like... could Mon-El's eyes do that too? And how? Would it be an emotional response or just something that can happen on a whim??? Is this from their Kryptonian heritage or their aboriginal heritige?
Also, lil Sodam's outfit with the gold pins? buttons? medals? being a nod to Mon-El's outfit is kinda adorable.
with the release of the new Superman movie, can we get another DC planet for the Atlas?

what if Earth-1's Supergirl was from Daxam, not Krypton?
Aslak Fairwood is the name of Nenah’s father while Terra Menn-Lill is the name of Nenah’s mother.
Made Nenah on Hero Forge. There’s not a lot of Non-Euro centric faces so I did my best with her.
Nenah’s mom was a Daxamite scientist who was working on ways to erase the Lead allergy from her species. She made the cure for it but her lab was destroyed so she injected herself with it and fled Daxam with the government after her.
She landed on Earth (where the Daxamites can’t go to for long) and integrated into society. That’s where she met her Sámi husband and eventually had Nenah.
Still figuring out her name though.
