idk if it was intentional on Geoff Johns' part but having Earth be the hiding place for the Life Entity and the origin of life in the universe is also a retroactive explanation for why so many alien species look similar if not downright identical to humans and can interbreed with them

it might not necessarily be a good explanation, but it's better than none at all

seriously though, even the races that aren't overtly human-but-with-mild-cosmetic-differences in design like Bolovaxians or Martians still have similar tetrapodal body structure

When Krypton splintered, sending debris toward Daxam, her father smuggled her to the nearest pod with room enough for only her. She watched Daxam burn behind her. No other pods launched. Crash-landed in the park of a large city in Kansas, she was found and adopted by a Korean immigrant couple who kept her safe from the federal agents trying to find her. Now, she stays under the radar, working as an electrician in her day job and only occasionally saving the world.
