im so obsessed with these two panels like ik the bat sons are brothers but shit like this shows how close they are as a FAMILY. even if tim and damian live to piss off jason every chance they get and tim gets annoyed with dick's overbearing tendencies they'll always be family first.
tim having to come up with a 'cool guy' persona and using both of his brothers names is adorable but damian?
damian asked spur of the moment by a stranger what his name is. damians been trained by league of assassins and batman, he's always careful and aware and i know strangers speaking to him sets off alarm bells in his head. he's trying to keep himself safe and the fact that in only seconds in his mind the first people that he thinks of when he thinks safety he thinks of tim and jason.
makes sense with dick being away in bludhaven that he'd think of these two and it makes me emotional knowing he trusts them so much that it slips in that split moment that he knows tim and jason will always be there for him, take care of him, and keep him safe.
jason doesn't consider even himself a member of the bats sometimes and he's questioned his place in the extensive wayne family before; and he doesn't even know both his brothers look up to him this much, that to them he'll always be family no matter what, tears in my eyes actually
