My AU explain, Mary bromfield

Mary is part of the shazamily consisting of Billy, Freddy, Eugene, Pedro and Darla.

she is like the co parent of the group alongside Billy and maybe Freddy.

Mary makes sure to protect them from any bullies in and out of school(Billy doesn’t go to school since he is busy working to pay for their tuitions, except Mary since she is part of the bromfield family)

Mary and Freddy used to only access the power of Shazam through Billy only but now they can access it directly from the source! Yay girlboss Mary

I don’t like my drawing here so I might make a second version I like more and maybe a slightly redesign. Maybe I should added more belts and added spike bracelets.

Mary is the twin sister of Billy, I wanted her look visually different to my version of Billy. And it also fits with her backstory ❤️

Mary adoptive parents the bromfield are very strict when it comes to traditional gender roles, homophobic anbusive and neglectful. They make Mary learn how to clean cleans even though they have a washing machine so that wen she gets married she can clean her husbands clothes,(Mary is also a lesbian in my au)

Mary is now a rebellious preteen she takes every opportunity to dress like herself, and to express herself emotionally. Like wearing edgy jackets and short skirts since she thinks they’re so super cute and cool

Mary bromfield can’t wait until she’s an adult and can leave that horrible family behind, the only reason she is staying with them is because if she did leave them she had to stay with Billy and Billy already has enough on his plate to deal with.(hero work, work, radio station work, helping with homework if he can work, a lot of work)

Mary does not want to burden her twin brother.

Mary is emotionally neglected by her parents and is emotionally abuse by them when she tries to reach out to them or when she was caught wearing her rebel outfit in school by her parents she was physically punished by them. Mary is constantly being compared to girls more girly then her, and it pisses her off, like let Mary be herself ok.

Mary hates when people try to tell her how to be a girl. She can handle this, she loves her found family(shazamily) so much she is willing to do anything to have them by her side and alive, even though she find them annoying most of the time except Darla she is an angel.

Man I really wanna read a fanfic with this exact premise!,

Billy batson due to being so dependent on his Shazam is force by the wizard(and the gods especially Zeus to make him fight villains without becoming an adult)

Billy is of course will be given a mask of some sorts(maybe like robins situation or maybe he would just not wear one in general)(magic stuff~]

Billy gets a hero outfit that would look very similar to captain marvel jr and Mary/miss marvel.

I also like the idea of Billy getting a magical wand or staff(I love this idea ok) in his normal and hero forms because why not? And it would be use for more concentrated uses of magic and magical spells

BUT here the best part, imagine the villains or his rogues reaction to meeting billy or even better! THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.

the Jl would just assume that Billy is just another on of captain marvels kids, just with a magic wand thingy

(um maybe we can call him soldier captain marvel or kid marvel or the heir of the champion of magic or something. It really up to you)

Superman going to fawcett city after hearing of a highly dangerous villain. Billy after defeating a rogue of his with the power of a spell he just learned

SUPERMAN: when I came there I only saw kid marvel there by himself, and he claims he was the one who defeated the rogue

BATMAN: how interesting(writes in contingency plans on captain marvel that he may be neglecting his son kid marvel)

GREEN LANTERN: as I think about, he looks way younger then Mary and jr like ten years old

(Billy malnourished)(or maybe when Mary and Freddy transform they get turned into 14-15 years old even though they like younger then that)

FLASH: who would have expected sun shine man of having favorites,(referring to Mary and Freddy)

SUPERMAN: well, I believe it would be best if we give captain marvel a class on being a good father to all of his children,

imagine Bernard in a scene and he just decides to break the fourth wall and pretend nothing had nothing like he didn’t break it in the first place

(I also see Bernard as the type of person when has a lot of time on their hands he would not waste it like a lot of jobs before he was reintroduced in that comic, I forgot the name ok😭😭)

so basically this idea is Bernard is a overqualified babysitter for super hero children, like OVERQUALIFIED.

like he would literally jump off a fucking building to get the kids to behave(he is kinda mentally insane, and make people think he is absolutely insane but hey he is from Gotham so it makes sense)

It all makes perfectly sense ok

(Also I wanted to draw this with Bernard and Darla but I am STILL kinda dawg at art… yeah😄😅🥲😭) yeah anyways!

SOooooo! I think how Bernard would handle the kids like, he would like black mail them with telling what they did to their parents, if it doesn’t work he would try persuading them, THEN IF EVEN THAT DOESNT WORK he would just threaten them with his life or something.

oh yeh also Bernard would just somehow have like things that they are weak against like Jon with kryptonite, and so on.

Bernard would let them do weird stuff like drive and so on, just don’t make trouble and don’t get in danger,

yeah even though he may sound a little annoyed at times he finds them very amusing and genuinely cares for them.

Bernard would also handcuff them to himself, or someone else if they’re having a fight,

BERNARD: ok, Damian come on. Stop acting edgy, let’s go down now

Damian think on how on earth is Bernard fricking dowd is suitable as a baby sitter for them, as he and Bernard are on top of a building, and Jon is just flying, right next to Damian.

DAMIAN: “scoffs” why would I do that? They’re is still crime to be dealt with.

BERNARD: hey Jon, can you come here for a bit? Like a bit closer

Damian jumps down grabs the smug Bernard grappling away to the same building they were on 2 minutes ago.

DAMIAN: well if you think that stunt could stop me or Jon, then-

Bernard had handcuffed Damian and Jon together and had tied up the magically weakened Jon in hand,

BERNARD: you were saying, now let’s go. Bernard happily dragging the magic weakened Jon and the pissed off damian back to the manor like nothing ever happened.

Idea for Bernard. Ultimate badass baby sitter (I guess this counts as a prompt too)

Dc barely does anything with Bernard and I feel like he is just nothing except for as Tim bf.

Bernard the baby sitter of superhero kids, like he for some reason is able to deal with them and handle them.

this post is mostly about the shazamily since they’re my fav gang, but you can do any hero children you want.

I wanted to make Bernard a friend to the shazamily because why not and it gives Bernard something to do. And Bernard would be Darla, Eugene, Pedro, Freddy and Mary babysitter.

(In my au, um Billy is funding his little found family by being a workaholic, except for Mary since she is adopted by the bromfields but it chill since she has sleepovers with them a lot of the time since her adoptive parents are super strict and not the greatest parents)

(Or like the Vasquez hired Bernard, because they were doing something, if we are talking about the shazamily being adopted by them) SO Billy when he goes out on a mission that takes more then 2 or a few days(like those alien invasion to the world ending to very dangerous and very long to take missions to do type stuff) he hires a baby aka Bernard.

do you see the vision, like Bernard manhandling over powered children calmly and nonchalantly.

BERNARD: so you guys are the kids I have to baby sit “waves”

MARY: oh my god, really Billy. You had to hire a baby sitter!

like imagine it, I been watching Jake long the American dragon just of recently and the episode where Haley had their rebellious phase is just so unexpected but so cool and funny to watch.

so here my idea! Darla has her rebellious phase just now,(like with the Shazam fam) and she is using her powers unethically for her purposes of rebellion and everyone is shocked.
