Just remembered that there's another example of Dick and Bruce still having a bond across space and time (something established in a Golden Age comic that's occasionally been referenced in comics since then) that I haven't seen talked about very much - in Dark Nights: Metal: The Resistance.

As he says, all of these visions are of things that have happened (or is currently happening/will happen in one case) to Batman, both his own and the Batman Who Laughs. They're definitely being enhanced and increased by a wound from dark metal, but this is much more intense, far reaching and specific than the kind of insight even constantly wearing dark metal gives any other character. He's also apparently able to sense when the Batman Who Laughs is nearby, and that his own version of Bruce isn't in the place they'd been looking for him.

This definitely a Cold take but I think the batman who laugh is really over use and just need to not show up for a couple of years and honestly I would love to hear more about the other batman or other dark multiverses stuff like idk a universe were Evey one is a version of brainiac or whatever anything other than the batman who laugh
