I realized something today

That I wished I had learned before.

You are just a poison

That I don’t need anymore

Your words cut like broken glass

Your looks sear like a lightning flash

Yet here I stand, head held high

As I declare I am beyond living in bitterness.

That this is me, my own life to live

I won’t hold this grudge, I WILL forgive

Because all you ever knew is all you’ll ever be

All your past decisions, let them go

Teasing doesn't tip scales of power against the victim. Teasing isn't repetitive to the point of chipping away a person's self-esteem
