New pet peeve: when people use the word "exponential" or the phrase "orders of magnitude" in ways that are not mathematically true.

Don't worry, I also notice when people use the word "decimated" to describe something being more than 10% destroyed.

Ed, who Izzy hadn’t been sure was still awake, opens his eyes and looks at Izzy upside down.

It’s that day with the orange all over again, except this time it’s Ed asking, and this time, Izzy doesn’t know how to tread carefully enough that it will fix everything.

But the answer is always yes for Ed. So Izzy strokes the hair at Ed’s temples again and brushes the side of his face, going lower to ghost over Ed’s lower lip.
