is it really christmas time if you aren’t romanticizing your solitude?
Journalism
I've recently started to try and pick up writing in a journal again. Some things to write about in your journal and some things that I've found so far that are helping me to pick up the habit again are:
1. Looking up prompts. Be it journaling prompts, creative writing, writing, poetry, etc, look them up for inspiration. Write based something based off the prompt that you find the most interesting.
2. Don't start with the expectation that you're going to write everyday. Wean yourself into it. Start with just a couple of times a week, then every other day, til you get to the point were you're able to write everyday, or most days.
3. Write about what interests you the most. Write about Pokemon, the rain, it whatever. Write about that subject you're really passionate about and could talk about for hours on end.
4. You know when you just need to rant about something? When there's just something really ticking you off, or that person who was just a total arse in the checkout queue and you need to blow off steam?? Write your rant down in your journal.
5. Want to talk about your crush but don't want to actually let anyone know?? Want to really say something about Brittany's or whoevers secret, but don't want to break their trust?? Write about it in your journal. Your journal, diary, is now your bff, your secret keeper. It's where you talk about (aka write) all that stuff you need to let out but don't actually want to share with anyone.
6. It's ok to write everyday. Sometimes you won't have enough spoons, or you've just had too long of a day. You can always write about it tomorrow. Don't pressure yourself to journal everyday, it'll just make you not want to do it, and you'll enjoy it far less.
7. This kind of goes with the prompt thing, but look up 30-31 day challenges. They're great for coming with ideas, and great ways to kind of always have something to write about each day in case you were lacking. They're also useful for getting you to write things you might not have considered on your own, or just by looking at prompts you find interesting.
8. Cute supplies are great and all, but you don't need a fancy notebook and pens or software to journal. Don't feel like you need to get these things in order to, but if that's what you want, go for it.
9. Set a reminder on your phone, put it into your schedule, set an alarm for it, or whatever. If you have something to remind you write, you're more likely to do it and build a habit of it.
Types of Tumblr ( I've seen)
Fandom Tumblr: sparkly gifs, ship wars, theories ,headcanons Hipster/Grunge Tumblr: cool photos, oufits-only-pretending-to-be-messy, lot of starbucks MBTI Tumblr: MBTI theory, "All the types as *random things*", fake/real conversations beetwen the types Porn Tumblr: basically just...porn and dirty gifs Meme Tumblr: similar to what you could find on fb, but better Aesthetic Tumblr: aesthtically pleasing moodboard about names, gods, fictional characters, hogwarts/ilvermorny houses, films, cartoons....EVERYTHING Diary Tumblr: mostly (but not always )depressed, anxious, wining. Good if you want to know what people struggle with. Nature Tumblr: landscape, sunsets, animals, forests, amazing photography Art Tumbrl: sketches, tutorials, digital/traditional painting that make me want kill myself for not being able to draw. A. Fucking. Hand.

birthdays are weird as hell. 25 feels weird as hell. everything is weird as hell !!
This is mostly for myself/future me, but anyone have that thing where you can't decipher your emotions??
Like, I'll be looking at a post/tiktok and feel a feeling but I don't know what that feeling is. It gets a little frustrating because I really want to know, but I can compare it to trying grab something at the bottom of a pool. Oh and there's the Sonic drowning noise in the back.
I even have a feelings wheel bookmarked because I need to physically look through it or try out different expressions to make sense of what is going on in my body. Of course I can burst out laughing or smile if I find something truly enjoyably pure but other times its a big IDK.
Nowadays I'll look at comments and see if what they're feeling is similar or the same as what I'm feeling, then I either just agree or disagree to the ones that don't seem to fit. I wish I could figure out why I'm like this, but I'm becoming accustomed to the answer being "this is just the way I operate". Future me I hope you figure it out ^_^
Goodbye 2024 👋🏻
