Prismatic Barrage Evocation Cantrip | Sorcerer

A quick, chaotic flick of the wrist and a mote of raw elemental energy flies toward your target. I wanted to create a cantrip that serves the sorcerer like Eldritch Blast does the warlock, something core to their identity, but with the same unpredictable streak that makes Chaos Bolt so iconic.

I actually crafted this before seeing the new 2024 rules since I’ve been out of a campaign for over a year, so I only learned from @arberros_armory that Sorcerous Burst already exists. Happy to say this landed in its own space and isn’t just a copy. ---

Dragon Claw

Level 2 Evocation

Your hand becomes the echo of draconic wrath, striking with power no mortal limb should wield. For a brief moment, you don’t imitate dragons - you channel them, claw-first and merciless.

Another classic act of dark magic to pass on to the next generation! Nothing more petty than becoming an archmage just to waste all of your energy pouring that same pettiness into adventuring gear that causes those pesky adventurers who foiled your evil plot last tuesday to have fatal “Accidents”.

So sorry to hear that your monk friend’s boots seemed to trip him just as he tried to jump across that crevasse dooming him to fall forever. Slowly.

Mind Jab 1st-level Evocation | Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard (Optional: Artificer)

When an enemy lands that "perfect hit", Mind Jab lets you retaliate with a pulse of disruptive psionic energy that causes your attacker's nervous system to snap back on them. This spell, similar to Hellish Rebuke, is a defensive tool that turns your foes' own momentum against them.

Would you consider picking this spell over Hellish Rebuke, trading that additional fire damage for a more defensive option?
