UPDATE of Rhys Darby Star Trek Speculation

The android duplicate Doctor Brown was created from the body of the 23rd century Federation scientist. This android was created around 2261

I previously speculated that Rhys will either play Trelane (a prototypical Q) or space huckster cyrano Jones,

either character would be AWESOME for him. But nuTrek sucks, so….

it looks like he’s going to be in a ep with Dr Scorby. nurse chapell’s fiance, turned android builder. so…that would make Rhys Dr Scorby’s assistant, Dr Brown, before um…his life changed. Rhys doesn’t have the physicality of Ted Cassidy to play Ruk.

The NuTrek ep will be a prequel to the TOS episode is What Are Little Girls Made Of? The original ep is a riot. One of my favorites.

again, we shall see, but that’s my guess as a dyed in the velour first run Trekkie and a Rhys Darby fan.

if this is the way they go, he will be VERY under-used—AGAIN. He’s so talented and he’s going to be relegated once again to a supporting role, and maybe limited screen time. Unless nuTrek gets creative, and I won’t be holding my breath for that.
