I found, while playing as my wizard (in addition to not being encouraged to prepare my school spells) that if I wanted a low level damaging spell, it was either chromatic orb or do fire damage. This made preparing spells quite boring, and irritating when I needed a specific damage type. Sure, chromatic orb will do the job, but it is decidedly unsexy. I also happened to need more spells to help define the sorcerer as a niche for my other project. (which this means that the sorcerer playtest should be coming soon :))

And now to plug my stuff. I release homebrews weekly over on my Patreon. Anyone who pledges $1 or more per post don't have to wait a month to see them, and also help fund my being alive habit.

This is a badass spell that we created...it’s a LOVE DOMINATION/BINDING SPELL.  More like an OBSESSION Spell, but more detailed.  We have the purple candles for domination, the red pyramid candle which is very powerful in spells, especially love spells due to the red.  Plus, I absolutely love and am attracted to pyramid shapes, gemstones, and candles, so I had to use it.  Then the white roses to give the spell some extra love power as well as performing this spell on a Full Moon.  The Full Moon actually landed on a Friday night, which is the planetary day of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. Did the spell manifest?  What do you think?  ;)

Cleansing Spell

Flowing and soothing,

Refreshing and cooling,

Water deep and blue,

Cleanse my heart and soul

before you.

Use this when showering, washing your hands, swimming, or when in the rain. Chant it until you feel cleansed and visual the water washing away all the negativity and darkness within you.

The Message of the Phoenix. If you really want to send loving energy to anyone in the world then try this!! This little chant I say is a favorite of mine when I know my loved ones may need a little bit of loving energy. All you need are matches. I would say a lighter, it could work, I just don't like the gasoline. You can also use the power of the sun since this is best done outside. Any fire source is good though!! Okay so go outside and conjure up all the emotions and loving energy you can for the person whom you want to receive the message, while holding a match. Now envision that your "message" is becoming physical by it surrounding you in flames. Raise the match to the sky as you chant: "Sacred bird, born of fire, carry my message of flames." Now light the match and envision your message flames drawing into the match and becoming a Phoenix. As the match dies out, imagine the Phoenix going toward it's destination. And you are done!!! You just sent loving energy!!! So be sure to ground!! Until later!

“Heat of the Flame” Fire Jar Spell

A jar spell to empower your passion and motivation to reach for your goals and work on your talents.

You Will Need:

🔥 A Jar with a lid/cork 🔥 Cayenne Pepper Flakes 🔥 Cinnamn 🔥 Basil 🔥 Bay Leaf (crushed) 🔥 Rosemary 🔥 Red Glitter 🔥 Garnet (recommended to use chips) 🔥 Calcite (recommended to use chips) 🔥 Orange Glitter 🔥 Sigil for Passion 🔥 Sigil for Motivation 🔥 Red Candle 🔥 Fire Safe dish/bowl 🔥 Mortar and Pestle  🔥 Red Ribbon, String or Cord Steps:

🔥 Cleanse yourself and your space before beginning spell. Drink black tea or coffee to energize yourself before hand if needed. Prepare yourself however you like

🔥 In your mortar and pestle grind up all of your herbs especially your bay leaf until they are well mixed and fine. While grinding them up focus on your intent to motivate yourself and your passions

🔥 Add them to your jar

🔥 Draw your sigils onto paper, preferably with red ink if you can, and carefully light them on fire using a candle, matches, lighter etc. Place them in the fire safe bowl so they burn down to ash.

🔥 As they burn chant: “The burning strength of fire motivates my heart, motivates my soul, so I shall achieve my goal.”

🔥 Carefully add the ashes to the jar once no more smolders are left. On top of the ash add your crystals before sealing your jar tightly

🔥 Place your candle on top and light it and let it burn down until it properly seals the jar (don’t leave it unsupervised please)

🔥 Snuff or blow out your candle if needed then tie your red ribbon around the jar or the stub of the candle

🔥 Keep the jar in your favorite room or on your desk to help motivate you and keep your passions alive

Note: Recharge in the sun occasionally, cleanse with smoke or incense occasionally before charging. To break spell either break jar (safely) or break its seal.

“Capture the Wind” Jar Spell

An elemental bottle spell to bring the energy and wind into your practice. Very good for divination, empowering wishing and creativity spells, and boosting one’s own energy.

You Will Need:

 💨 A jar with a lid 💨 Fluorite 💨 Amethyst 💨 Lavender 💨 Dandelion (preferably seeds or fluff) 💨 Rosemary 💨 Oregano  💨 Cotton Balls 💨 Incense of your choice (or rather the ashes from incense) 💨 Wind or a breeze

Steps:

💨 Cleanse your jar and yourself before starting the spell, center and ground if needed

💨 In your jar add your herbs one at a time. Only fill about a 1/3rd of your jar, leave plenty of room in it.

💨 Add your incense ash then your cotton balls on top in a layer

💨 Add in your gemstones on top of the herbs.

💨 If you are not already outside, go outside. If you are unable to for whatever reason, open your window as far as it will open. 

💨 Hold the jar (still open) in both of your hands and hold it out before you. Close your eyes and feel the wind through your hair, how it billows your clothing and brushes your cheeks. Visualize the energy of this wind as it blows about you. In your mind focus it swirling about your jar and into it, whether it is like a strong current or a tornado doesn’t matter; visualize it however you wish.

💨 “Wispy wild winds, lend me your energy, I ask you for your aid, to charge this jar with your swirling, free energy.” repeat as needed or desired.

💨 Once you feel your jar is properly charged with wind seal the jar tightly.

💨 Recharge it monthly with the wind or near an open window.

Wind Enchantment for Divination

A spell to enchant an object or piece of jewelry to help give the caster energy for divination and aid.

You Will Need:

💨 Piece of jewelry or an object 💨 Windy Day 💨 Outdoor space where you can work

Steps:

💨 Prepare yourself for the spell however you see fit

💨 With your object in hand go outside to the space you are going to be working in, if you can face into the wind

💨 Grasp your object to your chest and feel the wind in your hair and blow against you. Feel its energy merging with yours. Visualize this however you desire, this spell is heavily visualization.

💨 Hold out your object into the the wind. Visualize both your energy and that of the winds, swirling about the object, like a cyclone. Visualize this whirlwind being absorbed into the object

💨 At this point I often imagine almost like an eye appearing during this process, for this spell to help give you energy for divination work.

💨 Once you feel satisfied with the amount of energy placed into your object, thank the wind for its help however you feel is fit.

💨 Wear/hold the object whenever you are using divination, especially if its going to be a large session. 

💨 Cleanse object when needed and may occasionally need to be charged with the wind, though not too often.
