i love thinking about regulus’ firsts with james but not like sexual stuff only i meaaan first time he was sick and James was there to take care of him and first time he had a shit day and came back to his favorite meal made or first time james goes grocery shopping alone and comes back with the exact flavor and brand of yoghurt that reg wants because he ran out of it and James just notices that kind of stuff and their first month together and james getting him flowers because its their first month and aaah just them going through life together
Being publicly shamed because I, as a person who's not a native english speaker, use an actual good translator to help me translating from italian to english for my fic was not on my bingo card this year 😅
I hope this person realizes that I'm writing and editing in my second language because I do use the translator, but I also manually edit stuff most of the time because I know how english works, and I can write directly in english as I did with a lot of my fics, but I'm not proficient and fast enough. Stop shaming non english speaking writers because they use translators to help them🤷🏻♀️
Marco con la bandiera arcobaleno quando vi dico che lui è il più rilevante il mio fidanzato ecc. ecc.
I'm honestly probably going to take a break for a bit (if I finish any fics I'll post them though) just because all the negativity about the finale is honestly getting to me. Everyone is 100 percent entitled to their opinions and I'm not trying to sway you one way or another. But seeing a bunch of people saying how Din shouldn't have let the baby go or that all of his sacrifices were meaningless or that the show is ruined because he let the baby go actually really hurt as an adopted child.
I couldn't figure out why all the negativity was getting to me this time (since normal I just ignore or scroll past) but it's because this is so deeply personal for me. My birth mother gave me up so I could have a better life, so I could have what she couldn't provide me. And though these are different situations obviously the sentiment is still the same Din let Grogu go to be trained because it was the best thing for him and he made that sacrifice with love, to say that he should have kept him while he knew he couldn't give grogu what he needed would have been selfish on Din's part and frankly even saying that just makes me so upset that people aren't seeing the pure act of love that happened. Many parents sacrifice so much for their children and I think with younger viewers too it can be hard to understand why Din let him go, I know for a long time I questioned why my birth mom gave me up and I know it's because she loved me so much she had to give me the chance for a better life. She made the ultimate sacrifice after carrying me for 9 months and giving birth, and Din made a sacrifice too by giving everything he had to his son and ultimately giving he the chance to go and finish his training.
And yeah I sobbed when it happened because I saw my own story reflected in that episode and so to see so much anger and hatred towards it just really hurts.
I have so many more thoughts and feelings about the finale but I just had to get that out of my system.
im still thinking about that one split second image of jongdae in the love shot mv
My English Teacher, a known musical fan: As we begin our Mythology unit, I will offer extra credit to anyone who finds an example of mythology in popular culture. And no, it can’t be Percy Jackson.
Me, about to introduce her to Hadestown: The Myth. The Musical:
