Cisco ships

I don’t like to hate on any ships unless they’re genuinely problematic, but I just want to say that what I do love about shipping Cisco with Ralph, versus anyone else I’ve shipped him with before, is that Ralph has never actually hurt him.

I love Harrisco, they act like a married couple way too much to not ship it a little bit, but it is really hard to get over the instances where Harry physically and emotionally mistreated Cisco (same thing with Hartley). And pretty much everyone else either doesn’t listen to him and treat him with respect enough, (Barry/Iris, Caitlin, etc.) or broke his heart/didn’t work out (Lisa, Kendra, Cynthia). So it’s really nice to ship him with someone that is able to bicker and play fight with him in a cute way, without any history of actual abuse or mistreatment.

Again, this isn’t to hate on any ships because I did and in some cases still do love some of those other ships. But right now I’m latching onto Elongvibe because they’re Soft and Good and somehow the writers have made me fall in love with Ralph which I never thought possible, but here we are. Take good care of my boy, Dibs <3

Another writer rec for Spotlight Saturday. :)

This time my rec is for @kitkatt0430 (on Ao3 here) who is another writer I get all squeeful about whenever I see an update notification. Started reading for The Flash Cisco/Hartley fics but just as excited to read more gen and other pairings posted lately, like Cisco/Ralph and Coldwestallen, and Doctor Who fics too.

I think what I love best about kitkatt0430′s fics is the depth they have and the consistent attention to detail. There are things that the show doesn’t deal with (whether for lack of time or them wanting to handwave issues) and I always adore seeing those actually brought up and fleshed out and the characters feeling so much more themselves for it. Just a joy to read things like that being addressed, especially with the complexity they deserve for the things that should have more repercussions characterwise.
