Me, trying to make myself push the button on my Enbrel injector: This would probably hurt less if I did it after the Enbrel damped my psoriasis down a bit.

Since I started taking this new medication (Enbrel), I've been getting stabbing nerve pain in my arms, hands, and legs. It feels like I'm being stung by a bee or bitten by a horsefly over and over, but there's no bites or welts. I've only taken three doses (I inject it once a week.) It started about midway through the second dose, went away the day after I took the third, and has returned again today, about midway through the third dose.

I wish I hadn't googled for info, because of course the first thing I came across when searching "enbrel nerve pain" is how it can basically trigger MS and other conditions that involve degradation of the nerve sheathing. I did let my doctor know after it started the first time, and she told me to take two or three more doses to see if it went away before we try something else. (Enbrel usually takes 4-6 weeks to show full results.) If it gets worse, or I feel like I can't handle it, I can call her, but.. ehn. It's unpleasant, sure, but it's not the worst thing?

What a life- where 'invisible bees are stinging me' is just, whatever.

Took my first enbrel shot last night, the injection site is a little tender and bruised but besides that I feel fine except for the deep in my bones exhaustion today, went into town to grab a coffee and my mother in-laws medicine and came home and had a 3 hour nap. Laying in bed watching my wife play video games and can barely keep my eyes open.

Also decided if I'm brave enough to give myself an injection I'm brave enough to hit the "schedule appointment" button with the psych nurse I've been dithering about making an appointment with for the last 2 weeks, I have my appointment this Thursday.

Started a new med yesterday, and I feel so odd today. Like not in a bad way but like I had a workout yesterday I feel all flopy, which kind of makes sence because it's supposed to take my chronic inclination down.

I also slept through the night. Which is WEIRD.

Maybe the new med is working this fast. My doc said I should notice small Incremental improvements after every dose so maybe this is it.

Ugh.

I’ve gotten the cold going around, and of course because I’m immunocompromised it turned in to bronchitis (but we caught it before it hit  pneumonia).

Im feeling 85% better, but now it’s been 2 weeks since I could take my psoriatic arthritis meds and I am SUFFERING!

Just a really shitty 2 weeks 😷😭
