Why is Edith so underrated? I have no idea. She's not, outside the fandom, but within the fandom she mostly seems to be a blank slate for people to project themselves onto so they can romance Thomas-Senpai.

While I'm all in for making Edith worse...she has a personality, guys. She's a delicate, golden steamroller; she's a thing that happens to people, even under positive circumstances, and I love her for that.

Annie, the Cushings' maid, is BFFs with one of the hotel maids Edith meets briefly. They meet regularly to make bets on what bizarre circumstance will befall the Buffalo elite next.

This is my standard random question, but what's your favourite vegetable?

...Potato?

Potato.  Or maybe sweet corn.  And carrots.  I like celery, too.  Also I really like broccoli and asparagus.  But overall I am not a vegetables fan, which is fine by me since they don’t like me much either.  Though it’s improving, they tend to mess with my IBS in a yucky and painful way.

Cabbage can go fuck itself, though.  It is repulsive in any form, and the more you ferment it the more I will have to ask you to please leave the planet and take your disgusting death-mulch with you.  I don’t care how probiotic it is, it goes into the fucking sun.

Until I was about 16 or something milk was pretty much the only thing I ever drank at home. I'd have water at friends' houses, or at school, coke if we were going out, but the rest of the time it was just milk. It wasn't like I was eating a small amount either so my metabolism back then must have been absolutely obscene

When I went to uni i didn't trust the fridges enough to keep milk in so I stopped drinking it and haven't gone back

milk is very good for children! you're still making your bones so you need it! growing is hard work

I may be wrong, but I haven't seen any screencaps where bill nye was going down the "sex =/= gender" path and, if anything, he seemed closer to the "sex is gender in doctor's clothing" camp, albeit without saying so explicitly

This is hella misleading. The object doesn’t look like it originated within the black hole itself, this is just the  first time a link has been seen between a specific thing happening in the accretion disk and something else happening in the jet. It’s a link between the behaviours of the stuff falling into the black hole and the stuff that manages to miss so spectacularly it gets launched away at substantial fractions of the speed of light. It’s very cool, but stuff leaving a black hole it ain’t

Every once in a while I have a day when I forget to check a source. And it seems like every time I forget is the time when the source needed to be checked. Plus I’m new to the wonderful world of physics, so I was just like “oh neat!” and wasn’t really equipped to look at it critically (if that makes any sense). 

Anyway, I deleted the post because of the iffy source.

Sorry folks! I’m a dumbass, but I’m trying.
