Turns out organizing artists into categories is really fun, I should do this more often. Anyway, my favourite music genre right now is whatever all of these is

frankenstein 2025 | victor & the creature } [city of the dead]
White light fades to red as I enter the city of the dead.
Just discovered Eurielle’s Tolkien inspired songs when I was on the hunt for something Silmarillion-y to listen to. My life is now complete and I will be listening to these until I die.
My (current) Favorite Albums
Making a whole new post because my music taste might scare the OOP :3
And here's the template for all who'd like to participate
I'm losing count of the tick-tocks, tick-tocks/The endless times when my heart stops, heart stops/All I can do is sit here waiting, waiting/Try to keep my hope from fading, fading.

Slowly falling down like raindrops, raindrops
The pitter-patter on the rooftops, rooftops
My breath is clouding up the window, window
Thoughts dissipating into shadows, shadows
I'm staring out counting raindrops, raindrops
Splashing down on the rooftops, rooftops
People hide beneath umbrellas, umbrellas
Dancing between little rivers, rivers

Let's talk about The Book Of Secrets by Loreena McKennitt
*breaks down door. Rushes over to y'all. Smile chaotically* I have music!
So, the album The Book Of Secrets by Loreena McKennitt. Where the fuck do I start with it. It's all, in various themes and styles, folk type music. And not the Bon Iver/Noah Khan/The Lumineers style of folk music, but the age-old "from ye olden times" typa folk music. It's the music you'd hear in movies/tv shows/etc set in, like, the Middle Ages and such.
So let's talk about the styles, cause there's a few there, lmfao. We have songs like La Serenissima and Prologue which are fully instrumental. And, honestly, listening to it a few times recently I would swear that I'd heard La Serenissima multiple times while playing the Stronghold games (it's giving me Stronghold 2 vibes most specifically I think).
But then we have the rest of the album which seem like lullaby's or cautionary tales from those times (and they might be? idk, it wouldn't shock me). And her voice is just so fucking pretty like holy shit. Like, the best comparisons I have are Eurielle and Enya which should hopefully say something, and if not look them up also because holy shit lmfao.
As a final closing, if I were to only pick a few of the songs as my favorites, I'd honestly go with Prologue, Marco Polo, and The Highway Man as my top picks.
