I had a prophetic dream. A large, warm hand pulled my forehead back into a waiting lap. The smell of leather and heat. I met the bark and sky in Halsin’s eyes. A fire crackled nearby, its light dancing across the scene.

Then his hair curtained my view as his hands worked my tense jaw, moving down toward my chest and shoulders. My eyes grew heavy — soothed by the sound of his voice and his wonderful thumbs working miracles on my exhausted temples.

It was bliss.
