My Curiousity Has Been Peaked
Alright, little known fact about Arthur Ketch is that he was in charge of his own squad in his time with the British Men of Letters. So, my question is....
Was he the type of commander that walked in on his quad doing weird shit and went "what the bloody Hell are you lads doing?!"
Or was he the more fun type of commander either joining in on their nonsense? Or maybe it had actually been his idea and they just went along with it?
Or did he switch between the two types of roles, depending on situation? I kinda gotta know.
Hazbin Hotel theory on who will fall
ok, sooo this is a major spoiler if true
_________
We were teased last season with Emily falling. It's been a huuuuge headcannon, of Emily falling and becoming part of the Hotel... even though she is of the purest of heart (but then again another angel did fall before for saving a person from extermination, sooooo... falling is kinda arbitrary tbh, it's more about who has the power to keep someone in hell, rather than behavior... maybe, our dear angel *did* commit heinious crimes, and all exterminators deserve Hell).
So, Emily has been the one who we've all thought would fall. I thought, ok maybe 66% and some change chance she falls. But I think she's actually *not* going to be the one.
To fall, you must break the three rules Adam laid out:
Act selfishly
Steal
Not stick it to the man.
Who do we know who's guilty of all of that?
She acted selfishly, murdering souls in order to protect *her* Kingdom, and *her* place.
She stole people's lives.
She bent over to Adam and let him do exactly what he wanted... as in, she did not stick it to the man.
Emily on the other hand has *given* everything to Charlie ans Vaggie, and Sir Pentious when they are in Heaven,
She has acted even risking her own place in heaven.. acted selflessly.
And she by definition has stuck it to the man, by opposing all of Heaven.
So I think Emily was a red herring, and that sometimes bad things happen when you do heinious things in the Helliverse, and sometimes people like Emily are spared, and do not get punished for... being good people. This universe has warped morality, but not inversed morality where the good get bad things and bad people amass everything - sometimes that that last statement *is* true, but there also exists genuine good in this universe, and genuine justice is possible.
So, that's my thoughts. Season 2 episode 2 seems to be *heeeavily* implying which way the fall will be - if Emily goes to hell, it will only be because of something silly, like she gets stuck there maybe at some point (but still in her angel form), because Heaven's gates are closing and she mighg just get accidentally locked out, but she doesn't actually belong, so she has to go back at the end of the episode, and when she's refused... she's forcibly dragged back to *Heaven*, against her wishes.
Honestly that would be suuuuch a good inversion of this falling trope... I really wanna see this now tbh.
I am excited for the other 6 episodes of Season 2, and Seasons 3, 4, and possibly beyond!
Good Hell to you all! ^&^
personally i am of the headcanon that if anya and damian started dating as teenagers, loid wouldn’t be fiercely overprotective of anya -- he’d like damian and trust anya by that point enough to make her own choices and would want to protect damian, knowing his family background and how crap everyone in his life is.
while he’d be wary of her being with a boy who's name would make him dangerous by association, he’d want to protect damian and give him a place of sanctuary. he’d remember the little boy he met at eden academy who held onto every single word his absentee father said to him. he’d remember how damian had stared at his father’s retreating back, like he’d strung all the stars in the sky, and his heart would break for him because that boy is the reason loid began spywork in the first place. he wants a world where children are safe to be children the way he was never allowed to. loid would absolutely adore damian if anya brought him home. think he’d know that damian would never break anya’s heart deliberately, because he knew what it was like to have a broken heart before he was even in the double digits. loid would see parts of his own childhood reflected in damian’s cold relationship with his father, and wouldn’t want to give damian something else to fear. he’d want his home to be a place damian could feel safe in.
however my headcanon is that YOR would be fiercely protective of anya, especially after nearly losing track of her as a child and all of the crazy antics they’ve gone through. by the point anya is a teenager, assuming she learned anya’s backstory (which despite us not knowing, i know has to be sad and full of illegal child experimentation), i can see yor being that much more protective of this girl who has never had a proper family until she stumbled into a fake one that became real. i don’t think she’d deliberately threaten damian, but i can 100 percent see her going all, “cleaning all my knives in full view of my daughter’s boyfriend” mode unintentionally, and using several opportunities to show just her intense strength and how damian better not get any funny ideas here.
i do think she would love damian a lot, and like loid, would want to take him in and protect him too -- she just would be protective of anya a lot, especially at first, and it would probs make damian nervous. i think loid would have to mediate for yor and remind her to hold back some/that damian isn’t the threat here and to bring her back to herself
so this it a bit of a thought dump than and art dump but I really wanna get this outta my brain sooo...
Chosen right? boyo with like several godlike powers? Hear me out but what if he just does stupid or seemingly normal little stims with his powers? like maybe using the water in his cup to make ice form various stick figures, animals, and even people if he's bored enough; maybe he uses his fire to heat up coffee or to poof little clouds of smoke or steam into the air and try to guess what he made or using the embers to make funny little shapes; maybe he plays with small amounts of electricity to listen to the sound and feel the vibrations in his fingers; maybe he'll use his lasers to play with a stray cat he finds or red. maybe he just has fun with them and uses them for little silly stims and funny gags he'd pull if/when he becomes one of the skittles, or, more likely, on dark who would probably be doing the same.
I'm not convinced Jean Jacket is an ET. I think it's the real apex predator of Earth, home grown.
The species could have been around a long time and we wouldn't know it because of how they hide and camouflage. Plus, the nature of the beast is such that if you see it you die. If you don't die, nobody believes you. The secret continues.
The nature of predators is to be territorial, and OJ proved it was. For a creature that can casually break the sound barrier, that territory must be huge.
Predators are generally vastly outnumbered by their prey.
If it couldn't handle a big balloon popping inside it, I doubt it could withstand the vacuum of outer space.
I think the evidence is on my side. Jean Jacket is no alien. Jean Jacket and its kin belong here. There's one in your area.
What do you think?
Fan Theory: This recent theory explains one question which might or might not have crossed everyone's minds: how is it possible that Bruce Wayne/Batman has enough energy to be a business
Batman is a mutant
So, Chapter 1′s dark world theme was broadly “toys and games”, and the optional boss was based on the Joker, a card omitted from most card games.
Chapter 2′s theme was “the internet”, and the optional boss was based on spam emails, which by definition no one wants and most email services have filters to automatically discard.
So, logically following the pattern, if chapter 3′s theme is “TV”, then the secret boss should be based on something on TV that always makes you want to change the channel. What could that be? Ordinarily, my first guess would be “infomercials”, but Spamton already did that whole shtick. So what then? Daytime soap operas? Boring nature documentaries? Televangelists?
