I know I look sick. I’m in an electric wheelchair, in a sweater, wearing a mask and glasses, with headphones on. But for the love of the gods, don’t point and make comments. Let children be curious. Let them approach, but teach them how to be respectful about it. I don’t think they knew I could hear them but I heard a man make a comment saying “That’s really a PWD” as if I’m the poster child of a Person with a Disability Please, don’t assume I can’t hear you. Please don’t point. And please, show me the same respect a person without a disability will get from you. I am not a side show. I am not a freak to gawk at. I’m a person. Please be kind.

I am not feeling well today. My stomach is all fucked up. I'm fairly certain it's a bug. Been getting chills, I feel weak and I'm fatigued and nauseated. I have been in bed most of the day. Either I'm sick, or my IBS is royally pissed. Also, my fibromyalgia is flaring. Fucking perfect...🙄

For me, a flare-up starts with a wave of exhaustion that can swamp me within seconds, accompanied by a brain fog so dense I might struggle to speak. Then the pain begins.
