Started a new(old but still new) lace bookmark. Here's my progress after three and a half hours working on it. The colors are for the bi pride flag.
Alright so I'm not sure how to start out this post but I'd like to explain something before I get into what I'm actually going introduce!
For those who don't know, this account is owned by a third gender person of color. I don't identify with the gender binary or the nonbinary spectrum. I didn't realize how many labels relied on being nonbinary, defining themselves by said word, or being on the spectrum until I started to no longer identify as nonbinary. Even the word anonbinary has the word nonbinary in it, which is a word I've been specifically trying to avoid. I know that can sound nitpicky but I tried my best to find a label that wasn't male, female, masc, fem, androgynous, or even neutral, and doesn't use the words nonbinary to describe itself and even upon finding words such as pèra and ilyagender, they don't really specify being anonbinary, which is basically what I'm looking for. (Also I know words like outherine, aporine, atrinary, and abinary, exist but they just aren't for me!)
I'm not comfortable with calling myself aliagender or maverique (aliagender being something I'm a bit iffy feeling on and maverique often being defined explicitly as a nonbinary gender). And honestly, I've been rejecting Western labels due to being anti-binary so I ultimately settled on third gender which is how I identify overall anyway and I don't feel a need to coin something adjacent to it when the word has everything I want (connection to gender via culture, being abinary and anonbinary explicitly etc). But the only third gender flag that I could find, is not something I'm very fond of admittedly. And a big thing I've been struggling with while label searching is finding flags that I actually like and ones that don't strain my eyes.
So this is me coming up with an alternate third gender flag and putting some meaning behind the colors that I chose. My flag is influenced by the nonbinary flag and neutrois flag but ultimately has nothing to do with both. My flag is only similar to neutrois in structure and I took some color meanings from the nonbinary flag in order to contrast from it.
Any and all third gender folks may use my flag of course. I'm not going to dictate "who isn't really third gender" and who "truly is third gender" either. Basically any third gender person can use this. Period. Also this flag was made with being unrelated and apart from the gender binary and nonbinary spectrum in mind. I really wanted to differentiate myself from both so the meanings do mention being disconnected from both labels and anything that falls into them. Any third gender folks who also use the term nonbinary to describe themselves, are more tham welcome to use this of course, just note that I specifically made this with emphasizing how third gender isn't apart of the gender binary nor nonbinary spectrum.
Another thing I want to say real quick is that any and all discourse from white people will be blocked. Same with any gender critical folks, TERFs, radfems, and the like. Also please read my dni before interacting with me. Any and all exclusionists will be blocked!
FLAG AND IT'S COLOR MEANINGS UNDERNEATH THE CUT!
