But seriously, this is meant as a big 🖕 to myself, and not just for the literal reason that I’m actually giving my reflection the middle finger here! I get caught up so much in my own head with doubts and insecurities, whether I’m making progress or if someone’s going to drag my workout/progress posts because of lack of said progress, which has never actually happened nor could they say anything worse than I’ve told myself but, still, I brace myself for it. Since starting @spideybrock and this account, it’s been easier to manage, I get to hide doubt behind a mask. Now no one can get to me because if they insult me, they’re insulting Spidey-Brock. It still gets to me sometimes here now, but in a different way. I start over thinking what I should and shouldn’t post and measuring it up to some invisible standard I set for myself from looking at the content of the accounts I admire. I even went and silently decided to stop posting cosfit related stuff, which was a huge part of starting the accounts to begin with. ⁣⁣

Since the little break we’ve taken since the new pup came along, I’ve been able to take a step back and remember why we’ve made these accounts in the first place: To have fun, celebrate the superheroes we enjoy, and keep ourselves (and maybe anyone else interested along the way) motivated to take care of ourselves using said heroes as motivation. ⁣⁣

So 🖕 to that paralysing voice of doubt 💪😤
