Look at those adorable mini potato gnocchi! Fridge, pantry, & garden finds for dinner tonight. (that’s a 10 1/4” 15oz zucchini, a squash, & some cherry tomatoes just picked within the hour! ) That’s probably the longest skinniest zucchini I’ve ever picked. 😂 I sautéed the quartered thin salami slices, tossed in the gnocchi, & browned them with a pat of butter & olive oil. I set those aside & sautéed up my zucchini with some lemon zest & olive oil. Tonight, we are playing a game called What’s in the Fridge?! I found some chicken breast, asparagus, misc bell pepper pieces, sketchy mushrooms, broccoli, baby carrots, jasmine rice and some General Tso stir fry sauce. It’s going to be an epic stir fry. The mushrooms didn’t make the cut, but everything else was good and it came out great! Well, the chicken was dry, but whatever. Good stuff regardless. It's time to check the fridge to see what needs to be used before it goes bad. I normally hate throwing away food so I'm being especially vigilant right now. We had a chunk of leftover corned beef, half a green pepper, a flaccid summer squash, and some baby potatoes so we had homemade hash with eggs for brunch. Fridge Finds - a new series

Hello,

Today in Fridge Finds we have:

Unwrapped pizza - it is on the counter (paper plates are not an acceptable “wrapper” for our shared fridge- there is saran wrap and a plethora of Tupperware.)

Please claim it and properly wrap it up.

Old Blueberries- up for grabs on the counter from 7/6

Old TJ’s Salad- tossed it. Sell by date was 7/1

1/8th full quart container of couscous.- on the counter please claim it.

Moldy ½ Sandwich- tossed it

Please make an effort to take your items home at the end of the day/week or use them during the week.

It is really getting out of hand.
