Alfred watched as his young ward threw his head back and laughed. It felt like there was a weight slowly lifting from his shoulders.

About a month ago, Alfred and Bruce had been passing through Smallville when their vehicle had broken down and they had been helped by the Kents. The young master and little Clark Kent had started out on the wrong foot but had quickly grown fond of each other

Now a month later, Alfred was sitting on the porch with Jonathan as they watched their boys laugh and play, seemingly as radiant as the sun shining down on them.

“Seems to be workin’ out,” said Jonathan, nodding toward the boys

“Yes,” said Alfred, “I do have to agree,”

Just then, Clark bodily tackled Bruce into the muddy ground. Jonathan was started to get up, but Alfred stopped him.

“Don’t worry my friend, Master Bruce can handle an alien child,”

Jonathan’s head snapped to him so fast, Alfred thought he would get whiplash.

Ah, the sweet feeling of knowing everything, it never got old.

Out in the mud and grass, Bruce reached up and flipped Clark over.

That’s my boy.

“You won’t tell?” asked Jonathan

“Never,” murmured Alfred

Hey there(lovely blog by the way) I come in peace and in need of advice. I have a Slytherin friend who is currently holding a grudge over something we fought about at the end of last year. I'll admit I was wrong and I should have been nicer and apologized (she accidentally made a mess and me, being over stressed, started yelling at her) BUT here's the thing: she doesn't remember why she is angry. Should I drop her, say she won the argument to avoid conflict, or wait it out? -Ticked Off Slytherin

Potevano non fermarsi quegli occhi, quando ho fatto finta di non riconoscerli mentendo a me stessa. Potevano non fermarsi, ignorarmi, andare oltre, far finta di nulla, sfrecciare via su quella moto. Invece si sono fermati, mi hanno chiamata, si sono arrossati un po'.-sarà stata l'aria del bosco.-mi hanno riparlato dopo anni passati a fuggire gli sguardi; si son fatti rivedere. Potevano non fermarsi, ma. E allora vedi che vale la pena portarli nel cuore, alcuni occhi che non hanno il coraggio di trovare gli attimi. Ci sono affetti che non hanno bisogno nemmeno di sguardi. Va bene, non guardarmi, io resto. Ti voglio bene. Ah, lo so che anche tu. È che succede quando un affetto è fuori dal tempo, che si può anche non guardarsi.
