On a cold day, I like to drink Glogg - it's one of the tastiest hot winter drinks.
[Glogg is like a red wine. One of the best dishes on the menu. -What are we gonna make? -The mushroom strudel. [ Imitates Swedish Chef ] [ Laughter ]]
Imagine Loki getting the bright idea to get involved in all the Christmas festivities by making a batch of traditional glögg. “You’ll love it, (Name). I just know it!”
You nod dumbly as he gathers all his ingredients. No wife wants to disappoint her husband, but... well, you sort of wish you could stop him without hurting his feelings.
Or spoiling an upcoming surprise.

Chicken Bacon Quiche [low spoons]
So I’m still struggling with cooking. Seriously, I don’t eat much anymore. But I had some cold cut rotisserie chicken and a slab of bacon I needed to use up and no energy for sandwiches. So I made a quiche. I didn’t have nutmeg, but if you do, you should definitely include some.
Ingredients
4 eggs
1 cup milk or cream (all I had was milk)
1 pie crust
1/2 package of rotisserie chicken lunch meat
8 slices of swiss cheese, broken up
6oz can of mushrooms
1 slab of bacon (you don’t need it all. Steal some and eat it yourself)
onion flakes to taste (or an onion, sliced, if you’re feeling less lazy than me)
salt & pepper to taste
Directions
Cook your bacon with your mushrooms (and onions if you want.) You can fry them in a pan, but I threw everything onto a baking sheet and baked it for like, 45 min on 350. I then used the same pan to cook a frozen breaded flounder filet in the bacon grease, but you don’t have to.
While that’s cooking, mix your eggs, milk, and seasonings together.
Break your chicken and cheese into chunks and add it to the eggs (reserve some cheese for layering)
When your bacon is done, let it cool, then break that up and add it to your eggs.
Line your pie pan with the crust, place down a layer of cheese, add your egg mixture, and top with remaining cheese.
Put it in your oven (I have a toaster oven/air fryer combo) on 300 for 45 min. Adjust time and temp according to your appliance. Let it cool. If it’s jiggly, it needs more time.
Pairs well with French Onion Soup, which for me consists of a can of the soup, some croutons, two slices of swiss, and microwave it for 3 mins and 30 seconds. Bon Appetit!
