Grayson Hawthorne was a sinner and he had to pay for his sins. Gigi knew that and she was going to make him pay
He forgot Charlie the Cheese Pringles III's birthday which meant he had to make it up to her whether he knew it or not. She walked down to the doors of the foundation. She made her way around the guards, waving Grayson's ID card
Did he know she had it ? No
Did he have a backup to get in since she took it ? she didn't know, she didn't care right now
She walked right up the hall claiming she needed to use the bathroom, then took a turn around the corridor, making her way up to the black and gray minimalist office
gee, I wonder who's perfectly arranged office this is, she thought to herself before swiping his card and gaining access
It smelled like pinecone and something clean and that was the only clue she needed to confirm it was her brother's office
She slid into his seat, clearing her throat
"I would like the files by 9am sharp"
She mimicked his tone, all straight and cold
"Would you now?"
She froze before looking to the side and seeing Grayson appear out of a wall from the side
No, not a wall. It was a hidden room with a door that looked exactly like the rest of the walls. His shirt was wrinkled and hair messy
he slept here
"Good Morning to you" Gigi said, a wide smile on her face and Grayson returned the greeting before he removed the files and water laid in front of her so she could rest her elbows on the table and lean back like she did when she was writing stories in her room
Gigi leaned her elbows on the table and cleared her throat
"I have something to confess"
Grayson sat back on the sofa, eyes closed, arms crossed
"Am I finally going to get my card back ?"
"yes, well-"
"both ?"
Gigi slid his ID card on the table and his black card and Grayson didn't so much as move or open his eyes
for someone who got robbed, he's awfully comfortable next to the thief, Gigi narrowed her eyes before leaning back in the chair
"You had to pay in some way for missing Charlie the third's birthday and-"
a small smile graced Grayson's lips and Gigi couldn't tell if he hadn't checked his bank statement or if he was still half asleep
"I will make sure to never repeat the mistake" Grayson replied, still keeping his eyes closed, talking more soft than Gigi had ever heard him in his office while working
"I forgive you. You should also know I spent 5 digits-
Gigi paused for a reaction but didn't get any
"with Savannah and we had fun"
Gigi said a little too cheerfully and Grayson finally opened his eyes, a slightly bigger smile on his face
"I'm glad you two had fun"
"You're not going to question me ? ask how I stole it ? What I did with it ? Whether I spent it buying illegal catnip or not ?"
"No, younger siblings take stuff without asking"
Gigi felt something in her chest hurt and heal at the same time. She opened her mouth but Grayson got up, picking both cards up before laying a small box in front of her. It was packaged in paper with paw prints on it and a ribbon keeping it held together
She opened the box to a card and toy that seemed awfully similar to the one Charlie lost as a kitten. The card had Gigi Grayson written on it and was identical to Grayson's except it had cats ingrained on it
Gigi got up, bear hugging Grayson, who returned the favor, a little awkward at first
"say Happy belated birthday to Charlie, Gigi"

ೀ he has a small dog bed under his bed even though he used to complain about needing a spotless room at all times when his brothers crashed in his room
ೀ sometimes when he wakes up, he'll roll over and lean down just to see if Tiramisu is there and pull the bed out until he can pick her up and cuddle with her
ೀ he took her to a dog park but a bigger dog kept getting close to her. Grayson picked her up, side eyeing the dog the whole time
"you deserve better than him, tiramisu"
he kept saying while scratching behind her ears
ೀ he always makes sure her grooming appointments are up to date
ೀ the most pictures he has of himself include him holding Tiramisu (before Lyra)
ೀ he realized she liked his room a lot. she laid under the sunlight and just took naps on the side of his bed
ೀ he used to keep chocolate in his drawers but removed all of it to keep her safe
ೀ the brothers & Avery have a groupchat named "where is Tiramisu" where they send pictures of her when they see her in case she's missing and they need to trace her steps
ೀ Grayson usually falls asleep cuddling her. He'll go on a whole side quest to find her if he wakes up alone
G: "Xander, have you seen Tiramisu?"
X: "you came to my room at 3am in pjs for a dog?"
G:
G: "you're cuddling her under the blanket, aren't you?"
*Xander sits up and Tiramisu jumps, running to Gray*
X: "NO FAIR SHE'S ALWAYS IN YOUR ROOM"
G: "she has good taste. don't you girl"
*giving her scratches*
