ship meme your fave marvel ship 1, 2, 5, 15?
Legit a hard pick so I'm going with Two-Gun Kid (Matt Hawk)/Hawkeye (Clint Barton), simply because Two-Gun Kid's behavior makes absolutely no sense unless he's super gay for Hawkeye and I do not say this lightly. I don't necessarily think they're like, endgame or anything but there's SOMETHING going on there.
What made you first ship them?
hard to pick out the exact moment. I think it was the moment when Clint got pulled back to Ancient Egypt and died there. When he did, Clint's wife Bobbi Morse, who was with Matt in 1873 at the time, felt it through space time even though literal milennia were between her and Clint. She described it as "a chill-- as if everything I loved in the world has died--!" Matt's response? "The same chill she talked about has just shot through me as well!" (West Coast Avengers Vol 1 21)
That was the moment where it was like, indisputably, "Ok there is something very much Not Straight going on here" though Matt's reaction to Clint being trapped in the past in 1873 is a close second. (West Coast Avengers Vol 1 18)
Though there's also great hits like "Johnny Blaze teaches Matt how to ride a motorcycle and Hawkeye immediately starts moping about how Matt doesn't want to hang out with him anymore and is going to ditch him and go back to the past Literally Any Day Now" (Ghost Rider Vol 2 27)
2. Favorite canon scene between them?
[ID: Hawkeye and Two-Gun Kid, silhouetted, riding into the sunset. Hawkeye says, "Don't worry about it, Two-Gun! We're up here alive~ riding into the sunset! Can't you tell a happy ending when you see one?" End ID]
From Marvel Tales Vol 1 100
Honestly this scene is a bit melancholy for me. It's a happy ending to a nice little tale but it was published after Matt had already returned to the past. And Matt, of course, got anything but a happy ending, because of the way the TVA completely slammed the hammer down on him. So while I can't say I feel like Matt's time in the future was worth it considering everything he lost, I hope he had a lot of good moments like this.
5. Biggest in-universe supporter of the ship?
Is it cheating to say Matt?
Canonically I don't think anyone's actually commented or given any actual opinions on their dynamic, but if they did I think the person who would most likely think they were a cute couple is She-Hulk. Maybe Kid Colt, purely on the grounds that I believe that man is always pro gay sex even if he's not involved.
Rawhide Kid fucking hates it though. Even if there's no ulterior reasons for Rawhide to be jealous, he has so few friends and allies that one of them running off to the future even for just a little while would piss him off so badly.
15. What's something they love to do together?
Canonically, listen to country music- Hawkeye got Matt hooked on Patsy Cline. (She-Hulk Vol 2 5) They also roadtripped all over the west together, on and off horseback. They also have had at least one sharpshooting competition (Hulked Out Heroes Vol 1 1) and Clint taught Matt how to shoot a bow (Two-Gun Kid: Sunset Riders Vol 1 1) so I think it's safe to say there's a lot of road signs scattered along the Arizona highways and country side with bullet holes in them. I am willing to bet they raced each other a lot too.
