I discovered recently that doing forearm wrist curls in the gym jock area (y'know, at the mirror free weights-section) is me in my supreme feminine ✨💘 if honestt
Falling back in love with the gym >>>
Really hate how some of my muscles are stronger than others when they need to work together. Like why was i struggling with the lat pull downs only because my hands couldn't handle the weight and my forearms are sore but my biceps and back are like did anything happen? Looks like I gotta start doing handstand drills to build up my forearms and hands before doing heavy sets ugh
Okay, I applied to the local gym again with best friend. This time we are going to do it. Follow the whole program and such. So basically we are super-focused on supporting each other and survive this. Except she decided to have a friend come along, which would be fine because I'm really okay with new people tagging along. That is, if she weren't the biggest cagacazzo in the world.
And nope I'm not gonna translate that because there's no actual translation for how much she can be annoying.
Can't Stop the Rant; Gym Rant
Dude who decided to Spiderman crawl behind all the people at the free weights, whom I almost tripped over... Why??? Dude who has a STEREO blasting country music while you half ass your leg workout... Pls stahp. Headphones are cheaper than a boom box, get some, please.
Just a reminder that you should only work out if you are physically able. Obvious, but I see people going to workout even when they're not feeling too well (but aren't sick enough to be bedridden) ((yet)), or after they've only gotten 4 or 5 hours of sleep. A lot of people glamorize the idea of pulling through your gym training no matter what, the whole "no excuses" shabang. And maybe you really might be able to deadlift when you have a slight cold, or squat heavy after pulling an all nighter, without too many repercussions. But that's really just a lucky training session. It shouldn't be a more than once kind of thing. It's not bad to take an off day. It's not lazy or selfish, matter of fact it's the opposite. Taking an off day when you feel off is doing your body a favour. So do not feel guilty for skipping a workout because you feel ill, because you've been working non-stop, because you're exhausted by other parts of your life, because of CRAMPS. Take care of yourself, your health is more important than whatever your program tells you.
