Elec's and Cut's dynamic means SO MUCH to me, I just. I just need to gush about them real quick. Don't mind me. HC dump in no particular order:
Theyre brothers. Theyre codependant. Theyre each other's favorites. They can't stand each other. They love each other to pieces. Yeah <3
Cutman was the first bot Elec ever met
That's because Cut personally makes sure to be there every time Dr. Light builds another DLN, and was there for each of his linemate's onlining <3
Cut cares very very deeply about his family. He probably cares too much, but his brothers are his entire world
Cut and Elec constantly argue over who has "eldest bot" privileges
"I was built first" "Dr. Light gave me the most mature personality" this goes on for hours
Elec is usually considered the leader of the Firsts, and everyone is chill with this
Elec definitely has a very leader-like personality, personally loves the spotlight, and is very good at speaking for his brothers. Not to mention he's very quick-witted and can make some good tough decisions on the fly as needed
Meanwhile Cut is definitely the heart of the team. The glue that keeps the bots together. You couldn't have the Firsts without either Elec or Cut honestly.
Cut definitely acts dumber than he is and yes that is totally a defense mechanism no don't worry about it
Meanwhile Elec has crippling OCD and is constantly terrified of making the wrong calls or getting his linemates hurt or shut down
And then there's Cut who can, will, and has died to protect his brothers (*motions to Gigamix*)
... Idk if the events of Gigamix are "canon" to my AU but like. Cut would let himself be offlined in a heartbeat if it meant protecting his brothers from being hurt
Elec takes that fact about as well as you'd expect
Cutman: "I would die for you" Elecman: "I would kill for you"
Despite his constant terror of hurting people and doing harm, if push ever came to shove, he would do whatever it takes to protect his brother yes even if that includes breaking the laws of robotics. No this doesn't help his OCD in the slightest. Dw about it.
They're so incredibly touchy. Cut regularly likes to climb on Elec and Elec loves to carry Cut around
They will often snuggle at night while recharging and will scoff at any bot who calls it "childish" or "cute" >///>
Cut is deceptively very in tune when it comes to his brothers and can almost always spot when Elec's having a bad time
Meanwhile Elec's one of the only bots who can see past Cut's humorous facade and can tell when his brother definitely isn't okay
They're often the ones comforting each other in times of distress
Elec loves to dance, and regularly pulls Cut in to dance with him
Cut has two left feet and doesn't normally like to dance, but he makes an exception for Elec. His favorite is when Elec just picks him up and spins him around <3
People think Elec is the smart one and Cut is the chaotic stupid one. Jokes on them, Elec and Cut secretly share a braincell. This goes about as well as one would expect.
Also Elec is so fucking mad that Cut got a bf before he did. What the hell.
He likes to third wheel Cut and Quick's dates tho. He finds it amusing.
