I hate TikTok because I made a video saying that the fact that the only way to detect cervical cancer was to pry open the vagina and swab is ridiculous, and said there should be more options. And if we really cant get any other options, at least find a way to do biopsies through the skin like you would a liver or Lung biopsy for people who experience traumatic events and/or SA and cannot do vaginal exams and i got ATTACKED in the comments saying i was "so fucking dumb" and "dramatic". One person said that we had a system that works and "they have more important things to worry about" and it just goes to show that people really do not care about people the way they should. You should WANT other people to have good medical experiences. You should WANT people to have a positive relationship with medicine and doctors. You should want people to have OPTIONS when it comes to their health! One person said I was "embarrassing myself" after I said "options are so incredibly important, especially when dealing with procedures like this" and I genuinely cannot fathom how caring about other people is considered "embarrassing." It is not unreasonable to say that in this day and age, with how technology and medically advanced we've gotten, we should have more than one method to screen for cervical cancer in AFAB individuals.
Im sorry to get super serious but… I think I might have some kind of… thing in my mind.
During my internship there’s been more and more instances of me losing memory. Losing track of time, anything that I haven’t written on paper, doubting everything the second someone says “Is it?”. Even stuff I’ve dealt with my whole life, like every object slipping from my hands and me accidentally hitting something and hurting myself, all just got worse.
I’m also EXTREMELY prone to flinching and numping to ANY kind of sudden noise. A coworker said I almost act as if I was “protecting” myself everytime I jump from a noise, leading me to think I had hidden trauma in my brain or something.
I… almost never feel like there’s much of any time for anything I want to actually do.
I have to force myself to smile just to get less “You sound/ look cold/uncaring/uninterested” everytime I’m just trying to fucking concentrate on what’s being said because I KNOW how sometimes even a misunderstood word can change things. Yet I just DREAD eye contact and I have to force that on me too.
Whenever I talk openly about this it’s always “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” “You’re being too dramatic.” “It’s just stress, it’s normal.” “You’re in a new environment, it’s okay.” Granted the latter two are as well intentioned as they are rare, but… it doesn’t feel okay. It doesn’t feel normal. It always, constantly feels like a long hall full of locked doors, and I DO have a walkie talkie with me to complain about the abundance of lockers… yet all I hear is that they’ve always been here and that there’s gonna be more, as if that’s relevant to my point.
I have super weirdly specific interests, nothing questionable just… very niche that I really DONT have many to discuss it with without sounding like a fixated fanatic
People are confusing. So… confusing. I dont laugh at the same things as them, I always try to be sensitive and look out for everyone Only to get weird looks, I have NO idea what it feels like to be proud of a country and/or incite your football team, just.. stuff I think goes a lil beyond my introverted self. When the chips are down, I’m probably just gonna burst in tears.
I WANT to talk with my mom about consulting a psychiatrist, but… for what? Me being “tired”? Adding her another thing to worry about, on too of her own problems and my mountain of health issues? I just.. dont feel like piling on.
I don’t know what any of this is concretely is. Autism, attention disorder, anxiety… Im definetly NOT looking into the internet for an accurate diagnosis, its just that, please… if you have any ideas on what I might have or tips on who to consult, I’m all ears. Again sorry if it got SO much more serious than usual, I just..
want to know how much control do I have.
Some bitching and moaning about health stuff below. Nothing too bad but it's kind of a downer
Omfg I complain in notes a lot about my wrists hurting but man.. it's REALLY getting bad. Like I was nauseous and near tears at work all day today, I can barely even grip anything with my left hand and my right is on its way there cuz I'm overcompensating
Like. Of COURSE this is right when my health insurance takes a shit and fucks me over money-wise too, I literally can't afford to deal with this. Just an x-ray is god knows how much, and what if I need surgery or some shit?? Do I just keep dealing with the pain until I'm physically unable to work anymore?? Or do I spend my scant bit of savings and wind up flat-broke/in debt/living back with my fucking parents??? I fucking CAN NOT handle the latter, i will do ANYTHING not to make that a reality, even if it means just limping along like this for the rest of my fucking life🙄
Last year, my old boss (the old lady who gave me shit for being trans btw) recommended me these fucking.. omega supplements lol. Said her wrists were all fucked up and she took these and was Cured. I don't believe supplements do anything other than what's on the tin but I've started taking them religiously just in case they actually do work. I'm not 'snake oil' levels of desperate but jfc I just want it to go away without losing all my money:/
Fast food is a convenient and quick option for many of us, but it's not always the best choice for our health. Consuming fast food regularly can lead to a variety of health problems. Here are six different health problems that you may experience if you eat fast food too often.
Obesity: Fast food is often high in calories, fat, and sugar, which can lead to weight gain and obesity. This is a major health problem that can lead to a host of other issues, including diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
Heart Disease: The high levels of saturated and trans fats in fast food can lead to an increased risk of heart disease. These fats can clog your arteries and increase your risk of heart attack and stroke.
High Blood Pressure: Fast food is often high in sodium, which can lead to high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause damage to your blood vessels, leading to heart disease and stroke.
Type 2 Diabetes: Fast food is often high in sugar and refined carbohydrates, which can lead to an increased risk of type 2 diabetes. This is a chronic condition that can cause damage to your blood vessels and organs.
Liver Disease: Consuming too much fast food can lead to fatty liver disease, which is when the liver becomes overloaded with fat and can't function properly. This can lead to inflammation and scarring of the liver.
Digestive Problems: Fast food is often high in grease and can be difficult to digest, which can lead to stomach pain, bloating, and diarrhea. It can also lead to acid reflux and other digestive problems.
In conclusion, fast food may be convenient and tasty, but it's not always good for our health. Eating fast food regularly can lead to a variety of health problems, including obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, liver disease, and digestive problems. It's important to be mindful of the food choices we make and to limit the amount of fast food we consume in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Hello, everyone! If you have anything to contribute, I ask you to please look over this link for medical fund donations.
The little girl in question, Hannah, was born with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia and Spinal Muscular Atrophy. These are two rare, deadly diseases that will continue to deteriorate her health and require expensive treatment.
Please, check it out. Even if you can only give a “small amount”, any donations can help her family pay for her expenses. And if you can’t donate, please reblog/share the link.
