also the dichotomy of a henchim divorce because hen lied to chimney and didn't tell him (as her captain!!) important information that could have jeopardized her and the entire team's safety vs buddie divorce because they miss each other too much and don't know how to communicate what they want from each other
once again the best friend parallels showing normal best friends in conflict vs whatever is going on with buck and eddie
You know which pair I’m really missing? HenChim!! Give me back my goofy ride-or-die best friends! Give me Hen and Chim shenanigans! Give me Hen and Chim getting drunk while Karen and Maddie roll their eyes (affectionately)! Give me Chim calling Hen when he's looking after Circle Baby and Jee and somehow they're outsmarted by two babies!!!! GIVE ME SILLY HENCHIM!!! GIVE ME BACK MY HENCHIM 😭😭😭

Yeah, the 'they're the last to know how they feel' trope is good, but consider: when Buck and Eddie get together, it totally blindsides everyone... and sends Hen and Chimney into a crisis. Because suddenly they wonder, could they actually be secretly in love with each other and not know it? If it could happen to Buck and Eddie, it could happen to anyone.
("I'm not sure that's true..." Maddie says, but Hen and Chim are not listening.
"Wait! You're a lesbian!"
"Or am I? A year ago they both thought they were straight!"
"Oh no...")
They're wasted and panicking on the Hans' living room floor. Maddie and Karen watch on in exasperation. Karen confiscates the wine they're drinking and pours herself a glass. Maddie laments that her pregnancy is forcing her to deal with this sober. She tries calling Buck and Eddie to demand they come fix it, but neither of them are answering the phone. Karen wishes erectile dysfunction upon them both.
This has most definitely been said before, but we were robbed of the core four quarantining on-screen together at Buck’s place. ROBBED I say
