Wow I cannot even begin to describe the degree to which Everything in the history of Palestinian nationalism/antizionism post-Islamic Revolution, and the current war, just starts making an insane amount of sense the more you learn about Khomeini's unique ideology and its impact, and the types of strategies that result from it....

I really didn't think it was at all possible for me to have underestimated the importance of Khomeini as a figure in the Middle East, when I apparently had only understood like 5%. The type of "I understand it now" realization that feels too perfectly illuminating to be true - and yet it is.

*frantically muttering "مقاومة..." to myself while connecting strings between hizbollah, hamas and khomeini* the missing piece...it's all coming together...

Just an FYI to all hizballah groupies- over the past month around 3-4 rockets fell in my town and over 200 were aimed at it. We are a tiny town of around 10k people. No bases in town. No bases around us. No military facilities within a 30 minutes drive (a lot, by Israeli standards). “They only target military facilities!!!!” “They don’t wanna hurt civilians!!!”

Then why tf are they aiming at us?
