This may sound horrid and forgive my curiosity. What would happen if Soleil died? Maybe not early in the story, maybe in college still, maybe after they met reader?

Man you guys are giving Soleil a tough time (just kidding and light hearted!! They are interesting questions!)

Chaos. I think Atlas would absolutely lose it. I don’t know if he could come back from it. Like, I think Atlas would go on one final spree and just stay for the cops to find him. He would be broken and lost. I think he’d beg the reader to forget him.

BUT that doesn’t mean he isn’t able to be saved. I think reader could convince him that everything can be worked through, but it is going to be a LONG BUMPY ride. Atlas is going to be in ruins for a long time. He’s going to need a lot of help standing again let alone walking. He’s going to become a little duckling again with the reader and will be very protective and constantly watching over you so nothing happens. He’s going to be paranoid. But he might be able to work through it with enough help. Give him time and support. He’ll try for you.

Random and it might sound horrible off the bat, i wonder if Soleil ever felt bad for feeling disgusted by things like his partners being sick or just stuff that some ppl actually wouldn't care on getting dirty abt. I remember reading somewhere abt him doesn't exactly like being near sick Atlas or smth.

I talked about Soleil being around sick Atlas in this thread on Bluesky! I have probably mentioned it on the blog a few times as well, but can't find exact posts!

And it's true, Soleil does not want to be anywhere near Atlas when he is sick. Or really anyone for that matter. He handles Atlas the best because he cares so much for him.

But to answer the main question, in the moment, no, he doesn't feel bad about it. And even after, he only really feels bad about the sick one or things that the body naturally goes through because someone is actively sick or experiencing something and maybe needing help and Soleil is just scared to death and can't handle having them anywhere near him because of it. The rest he feels pretty justified in being disgusted or fearful of. He has enough reasons in his head to comfort himself over it.

We usually see thatt Soleil wears the same thing on a daily basis, would he like baggy sweater, or something tht just bundle him up? I can imagine reader and Atlas both sandiwiching the tall dude LOL

Well, Soleil wears the same thing everyday because he needs to feel the same everyday and those are his comfort clothes. It's part of his OCD ritual. Sometimes he strays but it's only on very specific occasions. So, he doesn't really change anything on a daily basis. But when things get cold, he will sometimes steal one of Atlas's nicest sweatshirts for a moment for on the downlow things like in Chapter 14: God You Make My Head Hurt when Atlas is taken to the ER for his migraine.

But usually in cold weather, he wears very specific things, and one is a very certain textured wool coat that is thinner but warm. It's tan and longer (But kind of short on him with his height even with trying to get a more custom fit one) and it is double breasted buttoned up his torso. He usually wears a red scarf with it and if it's cold enough, he'll deal with gloves and earmuffs, but the gloves need to be soft and not stretch so tight they strain on his hands and the earmuffs can't be thick no matter how cold it is. (I like to imagine either his mom or Auntie Chica made the gloves and scarf, so they are dear to him.)

If it's cold inside, he'll wrap up in one of his blankets. He has some made by his grandmother in France that are actually big enough for him (Atlas has a few too.) So you could bundle him up in that!

Soleil is such a fun mix and I honestly relate so much. Clutching his pearls at revealing clothes yet also loving them intensely and already knowing his thoughts have seen them and are keeping them in mind. Not being able to start things most of the time but certainly being able to continue them. Wondering why people would do certain things because that's cruel and you should be nice to people but being a slasher killer to bring justice to the underdogs and people struggling.

He is full of contradictions <3 As he should be!

I wonder, are there any particular things that causes Soleil to be anxious or panicked? We've seen a lot of variations but maybe some others that had happened either in the past or futuree?

Soleil used to be BIG against blood! But growing up with Atlas, being bullied, and being in the hospital a lot as a kid kind of exposure therapied himself out of that.

But you see most of what makes Soleil anxious or panicked in the fic! And you will continue to! Most of it is related to his OCD, but he also has attachment issues too that often get him worked up like when Atlas is gone too long or leaves without telling him. He gets anxious when he doesn't hear from the reader for long periods and catastrophizes often with scenarios like that. We know the common ones with being clean and germs and things getting dirty or being out of place, but he also has problems being in spaces he feels like he doesn't fit in or being with people that make him feel that way, too.

Honestly? He's just an anxious guy that easily gets panicked. There is always something he can pick out that can make him anxious and if he gets thinking on it too much he will become panicked by it.

For the slasher au, Soleil having a heart problem piqued my interest, i wonder, will we ever got to see a lil bit abt it more on Soleil? As in the impacts or maybe slight seriousness on surgery or something. Just curious, have a nice day theree!

There is actually a mini fic planned for Soleil's heart issues as a kid and one of his surgeries! But there will also be more mention of it in the fic, especially later on. But it's going to be a minute before we are introduced to some of the things his heart issues come with. Reader won't get a glimpse until then and doesn't know of it yet. Soleil tries not to talk about it or let it be known. It's something he quietly deals with most of the time, even with Atlas.
