I loved today’s EAPS episode! Eclipse being a protective dad and also letting his walls down a bit! Also the talk at the end about something maybe being wrong with the illusion disk? Also need to update my human Roxanne design :D Help, with my style he looks like a teenager, not an adult 😭
Anyway, this popped into my head when I heard about maybe something being off with the illustration discs! (7:31)
Ppl on the bird app wanted to see human boys so we figured why not post them here too! We made these back in December while thinking up a role reversal Au with Tari as Amber
Some more details on them that we didnt include in their canvas!
☀️- 5’11, they/them actual name is Sam (is of german descent) age 27
🌙- 5’9, He/They actual name ks Murphy (is mexican) age 27
Eclipse- 6’2 he/him actual name Elias (is mexican native but unaware which tribe due to being in foster care since young age just says mexican like Moon) age 25
Moon and Eclipse were both in the same foster home when they met, eclipse was very young and latched on to Moon after he drove away his bullies, Moon was to much of softie to push him away and they became close from their. Moon meets Sun at school when he tries to befriend him in class, on his way home he catches Sun being cornered in an alleyway and jumps in to defend him (its how he got his lip scar and sun his eyebrow scar) Moon lets him follow him around after that and they become friends as well
Sun is from a wealthy family but very neglected, he was always left home alone which is how he got his burn scar after trying to boil water for a meal and accidentally dropping it on himself, his aunt does take him and also lets the other two come around often, she encourages their antics and they genuinely love being around her even if shes somehow more hyper and brightly colored than Sun
Their nicknames (sun,moon,eclipse) came from a teacher in middle school who would call them that because of a sticker she would place on their nametag, they liked the names enough to just continue using them as much as their actual names
I don't think I'm finishing this, especially because I wanted my human design of them more separated from the elves, so I want to change some aspects of them. And especially now that I have a better idea of how to adapt eclipse to my AUs and DCA interpretations. (Also, I was going through a weird artblock here and I was having doubts about the way I draw the DCA in general, like, all my versions and designs).
Anyways, I wanted to show it. I like how 'Clips face and hair turned out. I had the idea that part of their scalps are burned and don't grow hair anymore there, has a prosthetic leg and uses gloves to protect their hands (and not scare children/gross out adults because of the burn skeletal looking).

Here is an old test I did after the previous drawing. I really like Suns hair here, I think I found the perfect balance I wanted of puffed up/crazy hair for him, but I had artblock and couldn't see that lol.
lmao why did I do the lineart if the sketch was alredy looking good? I guess I was going for a cleaner look.
How good/bad does deimos at getting along with young children, toddlers, or teenagers?
Deimos is actually pretty good with children and toddlers now that they are older! Teenagers though? That's a little more tricky.
It's not that they don't want to get along with teenagers, it's just that they don't know what are safe topics and what aren't, and sometimes teenagers are just confusing and bratty. Deimos is used to being the brat with some logic, so when someone else takes that from them, it causes all sorts of questions. So, what is on the table with teens? Deimos isn't sure yet. Deimos grew up too fast and did things they shouldn't have too young. Trying to figure out regular teens is hard for them.
Children and toddlers are easy. Deimos did want to be a daycare attendant after all! They just never got around to it and never got the proper education to do it. So, they like it when they can interact with little kids in the wild! For them, interacting with kids is just letting kids explore. Oh you like lions, why? Tell me about it! You want to become an astronaut? Why is that? Is space cool? Your favorite color is blue? What kind of blue? Do you have a second favorite color? Deimos loves exploring with kids, and sometimes likes giving little facts they know to help further curiosity! It's too fun for them!
In the past, Deimos was pretty bad with kids (Please see their relationship with Atlas when they were growing up.)(It was disastrous.) But now, kids bring them a lot of joy and give them a little whimsy in their life. Deimos has had it hard. Kids make things seem simple again. I think Deimos bothers Monty all of the time about kids and getting to see some. Monty probably has some kids in his family that he lets Deimos come and see and interact with to kill that baby fever they tend to get.
I think Deimos likes toddlers the most. Just wandering and babbling little people learning and full of wonder. Plus, they are easy for Deimos to pick up and just toss around (a common trait between them and Atlas. They like to randomly pick people up and carry them.) Plus, Deimos can teach things to toddlers, for the better or worse. You will just have to see how they are feeling.
Deimos loves kids and wants some of their own. Deimos isn't really dating anyone at the moment (Despite their complicated FwB with Monty relationship that they are playing a little too close to the sun with,) but they hope to adopt one day because of their mother's childhood situation in foster care. They want to save a child from foster care so they don't end up like their mom. Deimos would like multiple children because they know they won't get their dream of becoming a daycare attendant.
